What does FC bring in your house?

First Christmas where DS is old enough to get in the Christmas spirit and the whole Father Christmas thing.

What does Father Christmas bring in your house? Is it all the presents? In which case, how do you explain that some presents come from people? DH has suggests that FC goes and collects presents from different friends/relatives and delivers them all. I don't like this idea. I thought perhaps FC would just bring the stocking presents and everything else comes from people.

I know I'm over analysing this , I'm just getting giddy about Christmas!

Dd's will be getting 1 large present and a stocking from FC, then they are getting a joint present from dh and i and a couple smaller bits.

They don't really get many presents from relatives (we havn't got a huge family and grand parents prefer to give money) so i tend to go over the top with presents from dh and i .

Surely FC just brings stocking presents ?!

Keep it simple, otherwise when they go to school and 'their' FC does something different from everyone elses's like getting them all the presents etc. that's going to cause doubt

FC gets smallish gifts - like bubblebath/gormiti/cheap dvd/warm pj's/hot wheels/chocolate coins/pot of goo etc - we put out some of Grandpa's old walking socks at the end of the bed and in the morning magic!

FC brings stocking presents, which are a mixture of tiny things and a few slightly larger things - dd's this year will have a couple of books, a DVD, a Sylvanian Families family, a craft set and a handful of small bits and pieces. Then they get two presents from us under the tree - something big and wished for, and a book. Other presents from people we aren't going to see over Christmas go under the tree as well. All presents only appear after they have gone to bed on Christmas Eve - couldn't do with the incessant "what's this, Mummy?". It's never been discussed whether FC or someone else puts them there...

This situation only arose last year. DD asked why FC brought all her presents and me and her dad didn't get her anything. I can't remember what I said but made sure that the presents from him were wrapped up in paper different to the paper from us. She believes that he phones me during the day and asks what she wants, sadly it changes from day to day but she can be sure there will be no horses on his sleigh.

Just the stockings. I don't want my DDs to compare what they get from FC to what other children get. How do you explain that FC gets Millie down the road something really big and expensive, but not your child?

My parents told us that our grandparents bought us presents and that FC would deliver them, which I was really about, even as a small child.

In our house, the DDs get their sacks filled from santa - but that is the little stuff (essentials, like pants etc and cheap toys). the expensive stuff comes from us because I want the credit.

My eldest DD (6) also knows that we have to send FC money to pay for all the presents because she knows different friends get different things and that one man can't afford to buy all the presents for all the children in the world!

FC took DS's dummies away last Xmas. I bet he thinks he'll be coming to take something else this year! He'll just be bringing stockings tho!

FC fills the stockings(little toys, socks, sweets and stuff)He doesn't wrap the pressies though.He usually brings an annual too wrapped up and with a tag saying from FC.
I'm so glad you are all saying FC and not bloody Santa.
My ds was so confused a few years back he asked how come bff get's big presents from FC?
