What are you getting your 3.5/4yo ds this Christmas?

I can't think what to get for mine.

Was going to get him a bike but he's still too short to reach the pedals on those we've tried so think I'll wait until his birthday in 6 months time for that.

Have bought a few stocking fillers (Playmobil figures, cars) and some books but nothing 'big'.

Ideally something that will occupy him inside during the winter months. He's not a huge fan of arty stuff.

Thats from 2 sets of grandparents and us. He is quite easy to please - if its train related he's happy, last christmas he got the duplo thomas set which he has played with every day so far.

We were also going to get our DS1 (4.5) a bike but now waiting until his borthday in the spring. Not much cash at the moment as am on mat leave but in the last six months he has really got into Playmobile in a big way (we have the dinosaur cage set and the ambulance) plus a few other things and he plays with it every day. He really wants the police car / fire engine which are both not cheap so might get the grandparents to get one of them and we will get the other. I'm then going to get a few small stocking things as I am starting to think he gets too much anyway and he never plays with half of it.

When my DS was this age, we got him the Playmobil jeep with trailer and motor boat set - the trailer has a winch on it and the boat has a little motor so hours of play potential- he is now 6.5 and still plays with it

DS has a new ben 10 bike - bless him has been on about it for ages.

also has several books from mini iq
stocking fillers (puzzles, colouring books pencils etc etc)

also has a ben 10 watch type thing, and a scooby game.

I want to get him a few more little bits and peices. will prob ask my family to get him either playmobile or imagionex type things.

twolittlekings - ebay can be good for Playmobil. Last year we got DS (then 3) the campervan and the bin lorry for his birthday. If we had got it new he would have only got one. Sometimes not all the little bits are there but thats actually a bonus with him as he scatters everything to the four winds and it ends up in the hoover!

Thanks *feetheart". I have had a look - the only thing about ebay is that I recently had my account frauded (someone tried to sell an aston martin in my name!!!!!!!!!!). It's kind of put me off a bit.

DS is 3 and I am probably going to do a dressing up box for him with various accessories. He has a racing driver costume so I'm going to get a white coat and a doctors set, some sort of animal costume, a firemans outfit and hat etc. I might get a feather boa and add a few of my old handbags just to wind up my father too!

I don't know what else to get. He has a lot of things and doesn't really covet anything as he has never seen an advert. He does enjoy playing with playmobil and has the camper van, delivery lorry (a big hit) the bin lorry and the police boat set. He absolutely adores his Fireman Sam fire engine and the other day I found him hugging his transporter lorry in bed.

I'll probably just do the dressing-up box with a stocking to be honest. DS gets very excited by cakes so might decorate a cake for him. I've found that DS gets most excited by small, pointless toys so I must remember to look at toys through his eyes rather than mine.

Tom will be 3.8 and is getting 2 wooden train sets I got from ebay. Gonna put it all in a nice box and wrap it up!
