I am looking for inspiration! My Mum is late 40s and I always struggle to buy for her, also have MIL, SIL and my sister to buy for and of course my own Christmas list to formulate

What would be your perfect present?

have told the kids they must make something for me this year!
Oh what fun that will be on Christmas morning to see what they managed to cobble together the night before

Sourdough · 02/10/2009 18:37

A breakfast tray, one of those ones with little legs that stands up so you can have breakfast in bed. Luxury. With lots of little jars of lovely jam and nice coffee and a cup and saucer.

Poncy posh toiletries or make up that i would never in a million years buy for myself due to cost (and potential rip off factor), but if money was no object would have a bathroom full of the stuff....

Spa/facial/massage voucher..

Ewe · 05/10/2009 21:12

Love notonthehighstreet.com - thanks for the link. Plenty of ideas here thank you ladies.

A weekend off- hotel with spa, theatre tickets, nice outfit to wear...

girlywhirly · 06/10/2009 11:05

Last Christmas I wrote a wish list for DH although I did all the legwork locating items. I wrote down where to buy and prices on the list, too. There were some items that I knew I was getting because I had to try them on, but for the rest DH could choose, so that there was an element of surprise because I didn't know which ones.

I admit to being a bit stumped this year so far for myself!

Does your mum like cooking? Would she like something like an icecream machine? Or a good quality stainless steel casserole that will last a long time?
