I put on a non-forgiving pair of cords this morning and they are a tad snug. I've put on 6 lbs over the festivities - not bad considereing the chocolates, Christmas pud (x2), clementine cake and other titbits which somehow found their way on to my plate

Come on, share!!!!

4lbs
but as I posted before Christmas about how could I put on much needed weight this is a good thing. I know now the answer to my question - trifle and Christmas cake.

Do feel a bit round about the tummy though - would be nice if it distributed itself a bit more evenly about me!

norksinmywaistband · 02/01/2009 13:12

so does anyone have a plan to get rid of the excess.

I am headed back to weightwatchers on monday, what are you doing?

francagoestohollywood · 02/01/2009 13:17

I lost 3 kilos, due to the bloody flu

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:17

I think I need to 'do' slimming world again for a while. I may actually have to go back to the groups again [boredom icon] as it does seem to make a difference to one's willpower.

I heart slimming world! (Unlimited pasta allowed!)

Back to WW for me on Thursday.... I was 1/2 lb off my 2 stone loss at the end of November. Would like to lose another 9 lbs

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:23

Oi Bella!!!!!!!!! You've been spotted!

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:24

Although I'm not surprised you have caught Sean's eye, what with the disparity in our muffintops!

SeanBeansBitOnTheSideBella · 02/01/2009 13:25

Don't worry, MrsB - I am only borrowing him for some no-strings sex, it's you he really loves.

higgle · 02/01/2009 13:27

V. Cross, MIL sent back lots of edible goodies we sent her for Christmas yesterday - just as we had finished ours. Diet now postponed until Monday as need to eat all her pud/cake etc. 7lb if I'm lucky.

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:28

Nah, Bitonthe side, it's not love I want him for either!

SeanBeansBitOnTheSideBella · 02/01/2009 13:30

Stop it, MrsB!

I know, I know...

I hate war things on TV but I have watched more episodes of Sharpe than anyone I know

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:32

It is really very relevent to this thread you know.... brings need to diet and ability slip into sylph-like empire line frock into sharp-e- focus!

MumHadEnoughTinsel · 02/01/2009 13:33

11 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh god I'm the worst aren't I?!

Straight back on diet on Monday for me I'm going to Egypt on 5th Feb and there's no way I'll get into my holiday clothes.

hatwoman · 02/01/2009 13:37

2lb. but I don;t mind as between sep-dec I'd lost about 7. and I'm now slap bang in the middle of my normal 4lb variance. (actually I have just realised that's so untrue. the "normal variance" in my head is the same one I've had in my head for about 20 years. and I haven't been at the lower end of it for about 15...maybe it's time to revise it...)

is anyone else staggered by how little visible effect weight changes have? 7lb sounds like a shed load, and while some of my clothes did feel a bit looser it was far from transformative.

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 13:41

I reckon anything over 7lb, certainly towards 10lb, is visible. And 7lb off will show in your face as you tend to lose weight from there first!

bellavita · 02/01/2009 13:52

That must be what I have put on then MrsSB!

missorinoco · 02/01/2009 14:18

have broken the scales. absolutely no idea! i recommend it. denial is great.

mumeeee · 02/01/2009 14:35

I lost about nalf a pound, But still need to lose weight as I was overweight before Christmas.

Anna8888 · 02/01/2009 14:38

I don't think I put on any - am wearing jeans and they feel the same as usual - but I am not at home and near my usual scales so won't weigh myself for a few days to know.

Anyway, the school marathon run starts again on Monday, which keeps me trim .

angrypixie · 02/01/2009 14:49

I've lost 7lbs in 2 weeks

Christmas lurgy rocks!

whitenoise · 02/01/2009 14:55

i lost 1lb before xmas and put it back on again over xmas...have since lost it again

Flamespar · 02/01/2009 16:27

Bella - love that theory, were he not an ex that I am just friends with again and have seen a handful of times

SeanBeansBitOnTheSideBella · 02/01/2009 16:57

Sorry, flamespar - will try to find you a better theory!

Being virtuous today and trying not to trough too much. Must get back into that flimsy empire line dress for my man Sharpe, you know

MrsSeanBean · 02/01/2009 18:11

Bella what was his finest hour in Sharpe d'you reckon?
