ds1 normally goes to bed at 7, is still very much in land of living, and alternately singing and shouting

Dd went down an hour ago, she's sparko, so (ahem) Santa has already visited. Ds is still up msning his gf but, he is 15 so i don't suppose that counts

mine are both wide awake and seriously over excited...
so's Granny mind you, so I could go to bed and leave them to get on with it

bekkaboo · 24/12/2008 21:49

just got DS 2.3 down after an awful lot of upset, he's scared about santa coming into house when he's asleep. Wish I had never dais anything!

Ds2 is fast asleep. Ds1 wide awake and showing no signs of sleeping.

Dh fast asleep on sofa which is worrying as I don't know how I'm going to get all presents out of hiding and down here by myself.

MerlinsBeard · 24/12/2008 21:56

DS1 is awake.

They all fell asleep reasonably well (DS2 is on overload so i didn't even do wash or teeth or anything with him he NEEDED to be asleep - he has already woken with a night terror so i think he has had too much stimulisation today)

ds3 will wake a few times but we will let him off, he is months

DS1 was asleep, woke for a wee and i can hear him walking around his room bless them

MerlinsBeard · 24/12/2008 21:56

and i just realised that stimulisation isn't a word

PestoHoHoHoMonster · 24/12/2008 22:01

Ours have only just gone to bed. I had to do 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' plus a chapter of Arthur Ransome's 'Winter Holiday', before I could escape downstairs. Now just waiting for Gavin & Stacey.

lou33 · 24/12/2008 22:07

mine are still up, but soon on their way

we had a mini disaster, as in dd1 started playing with the school hamster (we have it for the holidays), without my knowledge, and didnt close the lid properly afterwards

cue a panicked family of 5 looking everywhere for it before the cat got there first

huge relief followed when i found it about to enter a pair of ds1's recently discarded boxer shorts, followed by a stern talking to about why say not to play with the stupid thing when i have said leave it alone for the night

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 24/12/2008 22:23

finally got mine to sleep - better start wrapping up now, but am feeling slightly tipsy. Tracking Santa on NORAD was so cool! Wish I had not left present wrapping so late. I think I said that last year!

Ripeberry · 24/12/2008 22:34

Normally my DDs go to sleep by 10pm. Put them to bed at 8pm .
But tonight they were out like a light! Pity Santa can't come everynight.

eidsvold · 24/12/2008 22:36

mine but it is 8.30AM

they did stay up until almost midnight last night.

skrimbo · 24/12/2008 23:18

DD sound asleep and looking like a cherub in her nice tidy bed in her nice tidy room, ( its amazing what you can get them to do on Christmas Eve.

DS nearly away, he is my angel and is all snuggled in and listening to the radio, he admitted at the start of Dec he knows whats what, but not a word since and he has been just as excited as DD, helped me lay out the landing lights and everything .

bevlongy · 24/12/2008 23:22

mine only just gone to bed, we've been out with a few friends so all kids together have been tearing round (hoping that they'll sleep in a bit longer) They are both good sleepers though, so in about 15 minutes Santa should be ok to come on in...

TisTheSeasonToBeSolo · 24/12/2008 23:22

Ds is at my parents , but Dd has woken up and is calling me ~ I'm resisting atm, but she doesn't really understand the Christmas thing yet....Put my tree up tonight and am wrapping pressies.
If anyone has Dc's still up now, they could track Santa on NORAD TRACKS SANTA...tis a nice thing to do...

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm back to my wrapping!

MumHadEnoughTinsel · 24/12/2008 23:24

Mine, he keeps calling down "mum, I STILL can't get to sleep". Poor wee soul, he;s so excited.

He's not a great sleeper at the best of times but he's tossing and turning and is trying really hard. He's convinced he won't get to sleep and Santa will miss him out. Awwwwwww

skrimbo · 24/12/2008 23:27

Oh wee while yet he has headed south after Portugal. I told mine they had to go to bed as soon as he reached Europe.

He is now in Morrocco

MumHadEnoughTinsel · 25/12/2008 01:37

1240 he eventually went to sleep after I went and lay beside him, haven't had to do that for several years! Poor soul he was so anxious about not being able to go to sleep.

Just dozing off and my mum phoned to see what time he went to sleep at! Could have murdered her.

I am pleased to say that Santa has now been!

PavlovtheRedNosedReindeer · 25/12/2008 04:17

Now asleep, went to sleep at 10pm, she actually took herself to bed, so we went in and read 'The Night Before Christmas' to her, and snuggled and out before we even left the room!

Hope your little ones sleep well through the night.
