I spent a good few hours the other day wrapping so I thought I was nearly done. I have to take it all round to MIL forst thing tomorrow so I can walk round on Christmas day.

I can't sleep so I'm wrapping presents. Tink is in my bed and I have a bad tummy so I don't want to get in with her as I'll disturb her getting up and down.

roisin · 24/12/2008 02:57

I like wrapping presents, but not in a massive batch. I start early and do it in small amounts. I usually put Christmas music on and relax, and quite enjoy it.

Earlybird · 24/12/2008 03:01

Yes, I don't mind it either as long as it doesn't turn into a marathon. Last year (our first Christmas in America), I put BBC Radio 2 live streaming on the computer and wrapped presents listening to Chris Evans. A bit surreal, but the time passed quickly - might do it again tomorrow when I wrap the stocking pressies.

TWINSETinapeartree · 24/12/2008 06:34

I have been cheered up immensely by the thread that revealed to me that I do not need to wrap dd stocking presents.

saltiresaysSANTA · 24/12/2008 07:51

Well I have none of teh DSes presents wrapped.
I am usually well orgainsed, but this year, I've just never got round to it. So hopefully DH, MIL and SFIL will take the DSes out for 1 2hours today when I finsih work. Which will be mad I know it

SparklyBaubleFeast · 24/12/2008 07:54

i have done mine -
done it in two loads, some on friday, rest today.
the thought of running out of paper/sellotape/labels scares me into action.

saltiresaysSANTA · 24/12/2008 07:57

Oh I ahve paper - 3 x 15 metre rolls which i won't use all of
and 10 rolls of sellotape. I have 10 rolls of it becasue the puppy keeps eating it so I bought loads

HappyMummyOfOne · 24/12/2008 10:44

10 rolls of sellotape - roll one my way will you - hoping there is just enough left on the roll for DH to use tonight for my pressies as he always wraps xmas eve.

I have tons of paper and gift bags over but for some reason forgot to buy extra sellotape. I blame M&S for not reminding me at checkout re sellotape like argos do with batteries lol.

TinselBaublesMistletoe · 25/12/2008 01:08

I'm up again for another night wrapping presents, not even mine this time! My back is killing because I have to sit on the floor to do it, so I'm taking a break at the moment.

yummybunnymummy · 25/12/2008 01:15

have just this minute finished wrapping.....must start earlier next year....

ElectraInExcelsis · 25/12/2008 01:29

Wrapping is sooooo tiring. It reminds me of how I feel after ironing!

TinselBaublesMistletoe · 25/12/2008 02:06

I hate ironing but I do like wrapping. I'm bit of a perfectionist with wrapping too, people can't understand why I trim these 1cm strips off. It makes it easier if there's less excess paper. I'll spend ages making sure it's straight and wrapped up properly, the pattern has to run the right way with the seams at the back/ bottom only...

JacksFirstChristmasMama · 25/12/2008 04:58

I haven't started.
Will do it tomorrow morning. I hope. May just chuck the lot into gift bags with some tissues. [feeling tired and overwhelmed emoticon]

BexieID · 25/12/2008 06:47

I'm up with a killer of a back ache due to wrapping last night! We have no pain killers in the house either! At least i'll be able to drink though .

nappyaddict · 25/12/2008 12:27

If you to your local pharmacy there will be a sign up telling you the nearest one open today.

I usually wrap all my presents the first week in december. I do a few each night listening to xmas music and drinking mulled wine

Not sure why as ds just lets me open them all!
