My lovely Nan who left us in july 2007. This is our second Christmas without her & Christmas Eve was always spent with Nan so tomorrow she will be very missed. We are going to the cemetery to take flowers tomorrow morning.

My Dad who died last month - 20 years to the day of my Mother's death.

I will also be thinking about a terrified little boy who lost his mother and father in the Mumbai shootings. I don't know who he was but I pray for him at night and truly hope he is being looked after with love.

faithandhope · 23/12/2008 17:37

My Mum who died 15 years ago,My Dad who died 11 years ago and my brother who died 5 years ago.

Still miss them all so much.

Especially when my children are opening their presents and see the looks on their faces.
My parents never got to see their grandchildren.

bollockbrainASSofBETHLEHEM · 23/12/2008 17:41

you lot have all brought a tear to my eye and I hope you all manage to have fun as those who are no longer with you, would not want to see you sad.

My DS who died in 1982 aged 7 months and my DS who died in 1992 aged 7 years. BUT I do know they are all around us - just not here physically.

Will also miss my dear friends in Rhodes, Greece. Nikos, Thomas, Takis and his family, Tasos and his family, Sam and Maria. They may as well be a million miles away.......

I will be raising a glass to all absent loved ones....

jollyoldstnickschick · 23/12/2008 17:53

My lovely dad

ChristmasDisco · 23/12/2008 18:47

My gran who died in Jan 1999 and my great uncle (who lived with her) 2 days prior to her, also my great uncle's twin who managed to survive for another 2 years without his two best friends

DontCallMeSantaBaby · 23/12/2008 18:49

My maternal grandmother, who had more years on this earth than so many of the poor souls mentioned here (she died aged 80) but who I still miss terribly. She would have loved my DD so much.

My grandad who passed away about 15 years ago, I can feel a lump in my throat as I post this, he was the closest I had to a Dad and the only person whom I have ever felt loved me unconditionally other than my dd. I have always felt a little lost since he has gone.

I will also be thinking of my inlaws who both died last year and my grandma who passed away this year.

A strange one but I also think about my ex husband who will be sad to be without both his children.

CestNoel · 23/12/2008 21:00

After trying for a second child for 4 years, and having suffered 2 ectopics and 3 miscarriages, I will be thinking of my little girl who is having YET ANOTHER Christmas without a brother or a sister.

Please, please, let's hope this is the last.....

mrstimlovejoy · 23/12/2008 22:01
