Qu: Does anyone actually like Ferrero Rocher??

People buy them for others & someone must eat them BUT if you had to choose between them and say Roses, Quality Street, AFter 8s, Toblerone, Celebrations or a bar of choc - how many people would pick Ferrero Rocher???

< todays trivial question >

I love Ferrero Rocher much more than the others you have listed.

TipsyFairydifferentID · 18/12/2008 17:11

I've never had toffifee. What's so good about them?

poppyknot · 18/12/2008 17:20

One Christmas we got a huge box from F-i-l and from M-i-l (separately and non-ironically).

If DH and I are in need of lightening up we buy a mini box from Tesco (four FR in a plascic box.... so useful for teeny DD stuff!!) and smile.

happywomble · 18/12/2008 17:21

I'm not that keen on any of the chocs on the list. Would never buy Ferrero Rochers.

However I do love any type of Belgian chocolate.

ninah · 18/12/2008 17:22

I do think the actual look and texture is a bit repulsive though. Kind of like a dog has been eating gravel

cherryontopofthexmastree · 18/12/2008 17:37

my list in order would be
fererro rocher
toffiffee
roses
toblerone
orange matchmakers.

i get hotel chocolat boxes too but they are only for brave moments- some very odd combo's.

edam · 18/12/2008 18:02

Yuck to the ambassador's choice - suspect very little actual chocolate goes into them.

Would prefer Green & Blacks, or plain old Cadbury's Dairy Milk. Sainsbury's does a lovely organic chocolate bar that tastes of caramel.

But at Christmas I regress to childhood and am quite happy to scoff Quality Street.

Brilliant Nenah

PoinsettiasScareMe · 18/12/2008 18:18

I would prob do ferrero after toblerone, but before the rest

AliceTheCamelHasGotTheHump · 18/12/2008 18:23

Someone once told me he always thinks crunching down on a Ferrero is a bit like crunching little bird skulls must feel.

It sort of put me off.

Othersideofthechannel · 18/12/2008 18:23

I would go for a bar of chocolate, but not Cadburys (bleurgh!)

Then Toblerone.

Don't really enjoy the rest apart from the toffees in Quality Street.

Yanda · 18/12/2008 18:25

Me! I would choose ferrero rocher! I have to eat all the chocolate shell, then the crispy bit, then suck all the nutella off then eat the nut. Yum!

PoinsettiasScareMe · 18/12/2008 18:26

Lol @ little bird skulls!!

I eat the choc off the outside, then break apart the ball and lick out the choc, then eat the crunchy bit.

WhizzzIngUpAnEggNog · 18/12/2008 18:27

LOL at the number of replies to such a trivial question
me & DH reckoned that people only bought FRocher for others & that no one would buy/eat them out of choice...
We always say they are like squirrel poo

WhizzzIngUpAnEggNog · 18/12/2008 18:27

Albeit a BIG squirrel!!

Trivial!!!???? 'Tis of the utmost importance!

ChubbyDickAndSnowBalls · 18/12/2008 18:30

Eating Ferrero Rocher is like eating cardboard. They are unbelievable gross!

cyLENTeeNIGHT · 18/12/2008 18:41

i love ferrero rocher

after 8s are shite.

hecAteAMillionMincePies · 18/12/2008 18:45

i like 'em.

I nibble off the crispy outside, then suck them, then eat the nut.

I am the nut!

I have a set way to eat twix, mars bar, bounty, jaffa cakes (that one is tricky!)...

back when I was allowed such calorific treats of course.

yummybunnymummy · 18/12/2008 18:50

they are like totally the choccy to eat...

love them ((sigh))

llareggub · 18/12/2008 18:59

I love them.

I'd choose them over anything else, and yet normally I am a lover of expensive real chocolate.

WinkyWinkola · 18/12/2008 19:04

Ferrero Rocher are miles nicer that Quality Street, Celebrations etc. We call those crap choc in our house.

And then those red Lindt balls. My goodness. They're luscious too.

lou031205 · 18/12/2008 19:11

Totally adore them. Take great care to pick all choc off surface, then delicately place shell in mouth and give gentle sucks until it implodes, releasing the choc sauce. Finally locate hazlenut and crunch!

piximon · 18/12/2008 19:27

I love them by the box load. Although dh more inclined to buy me Toffifee.

Myrrhcy · 18/12/2008 19:56

I used to like Matchsticks (hte minty ones)
