do you have a 'routine' on christmas day re:presents, or do you open them all in one go?

My lot always open their stockings when they wake up. Get dressed and go downstairs. They open their 'little presents' (from us) then they have breakfast. Then they open their 'main presents' (from us) Then they have the rest of the time to play while I do dinner etc. After lunch, they open their presents from the rest of our family. Then in the evening, when they are in their PJs, my dcs exchange their gifts between themselves, which they love, and open any cards that have got money in (i put them on the tree the night before if i know they have got money/vouchers in) and one last present from us that we save to open, usually just a little something, pencils or book or something. Then after the dcs have gone to bed, dh and I open our presents and exchange our gifts between us.

I remember when i was younger it was just a case of get up and unwrap all the presents all in one go. I like spacing it out for my lot! Something to look forward

Stocking straight away, big presents after breakfast - and we see family on Boxing Day, so gets presents from them then.

DD's open stockings in our bed. Then i'll go downstairs put on all the christmas lights and kettle.

When dd's come downstairs they open their presents as and when they want to. Breakfast when they want it.

Lunch is 1ish, tea is 5ish for dd's if they want it.

Spread it out as long as possible.

we do presents on Christmas Eve, one at a time late afternoon. extended fun bath and bedtime, leave mince pie and whisky out for Father Christmas and a carrot for the reindeer.

Then grown up dinner, then midnight mass for grown ups. come home, eat most of mince pie, crunch on carrot, down whiskey.

Stocking is from Father Christmas in the morning opened on the bed with us.

dd will open her sack of pressies from father Christmas in the morning of 25th.

after lunch we do pressies under the tree, from family. this is at about 4, so it spreads it out.

as a carry over from what I did in my childhood.
dc's put a pillow case at the end of their bed/by the door.
Said pillow case is loaded up with everything - little stocking type presents that I have got them that are supposedly from FC (which this year are - annual/book, selection box, toothbrush, light up balloon, glow stick, couple of mini legos from the mirror promotion, top trumps/jigsaw, lego base plate), main present from me, all other presents from family and friends which have been sent of given before xmas.
Pillowcase is brought into my room and unloaded and unwrapped.
Grandparents come for lunch and bring their gifts.

My brother used to do the unwrapping frenzy, I used to unwrap, marvel, take out of packet, play with while my mum silently willed me to move onto the next one. Think my 2 boys are going to be similar - ds1 will be slow, ds2 will be in present orgy.
