I have never seen It's a Wonderful Life.
Anyone know if it is on over Christmas?

I have seen Wonderful Life but didn't think much of it so am now convinced I have a hard boiled egg for a heart

LuLuMacGloo · 16/12/2008 17:54

Chirpy Grinch - I hadn't seen it either up until about a month ago when I had to watch it for work. I managed to watch it for nowt on-line - there's a small selection of 'classic' films on Google Film (or is it video) - and It's A Wonderful Life is one of them.

Haven't seen Casablanca either....

However I HAVE seen Battleship Potemkin so feel I've done my time...

PoinsettiasScareMe · 16/12/2008 18:42

Never seen Casablanca.

I had also never seen star wars til I met DH, managed to live 18 years without being told anything about it - and he told me the crucial fact as I was watching it!!!!

"But everyone knows that"

NO! They didn't.

Bastard.

Surprised I married him what with that and "You'll like Project X, it has monkeys" - monkeys wailing because their sibling is being tortured

(It may be possible that I hold a grudge given that I am now 27 and it still bothers me )

IAWL I have seen, 's alright, but not the great film I was expecting

georgiemum · 16/12/2008 18:45

I have never seen:

ET
Bambi
Apocolypse Now/Full Metal Jacket etc
Rocky (any of them)
Rambo (any of them)
Sex in the City
Titanic

ohhh loads.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/12/2008 18:46

I have never seen a James Bond film, or Star Wars, or Star Trek or whatever else it is called, or Thunderbirds.

And we watch a lot of films, but just the good ones!

mammyofET · 16/12/2008 19:34

I have never seen any of the Back to the Future movies.

psychohohohoho · 16/12/2008 20:13

you know, I only saw Oliver for the very first time on sunday (tesco had it for £3).

I am still shocked at the violence......there was me thinking it was a musical of 'sound of music' type.

TheBayingBanshee · 16/12/2008 20:27

advent calendar, how exciting about your grandad. I'd love to hear his story.

I have never seen the Godfather (gasp) or Jaws but worse than the fact that I have never seen them I actually don't want to see them, so there (emoticon with a big raspberry). Never seen Wonderful Life either but quite fancy watching that.

On other hand I have seen plenty of films my peers haven't that I think they have missed out on like "Some Like It Hot" and the original "Producers".

ChirpyGrinch · 16/12/2008 20:36

Lulu, am watching it now! thanks!

I don't think I have seen A Wonderful Life all the way through (isn't it very long)?

Nor have I seen ET, 4 Weddings and a Funeral or Dallas.

LuLuMacGloo · 17/12/2008 12:32

Glad you found it Chirpy!

whoingodsnameami · 17/12/2008 12:34

I have never seen, It's a wonderful life either, just last week mum was telling me what a great film it it, so now I want to see it.

whoingodsnameami · 17/12/2008 12:36

I must be deprived, I also have never seen....

The Great Escape
The sound of Music
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

PuppyMonkeyNuts · 17/12/2008 12:42

Though I am shocked, I can excuse almost all of you for your failure to see most of the films mentioned here. But you must must must see It's a Wonderful Life, especially at this time of year. It is life enhancing!!!

I too have seen Battleship Potemkin and I didn't reckon much to THAT!!

It must be quite difficult NOT to have seen The Great Escape, well done you lot.

Nbg · 17/12/2008 12:48

Never seen the Great Escape or Its a wonderful life, although my dad did try and make me watch it one year.

Dirty Dancing makes me want to rip out my eyes and pull off my ears.

Othersideofthechannel · 17/12/2008 12:55

I hadn't even heard of 'It's a wonderful life' until this thread

sobloodystupid · 17/12/2008 12:59

I use Star Trek and Star Wars interchangeably, having never seen either. All those CP3O and R2D2 jokes are wasted on me....

MamaHobgoblin · 17/12/2008 16:17

I've never seen The Great Escape either.

DH has never seen ET. SIL has never seen Star Wars. Not sure how either of them spent their youth...

lotuseener · 17/12/2008 21:22

I have not seen It's A Wonderful Life, either.

Or the Great Escape, The Sound of Music or The Wizard of OZ.
