I give a fiver in a card to postie and yes I do know his name
but the binmen get some beer as it's easy to leave out and no I don't know their names.should I

how do you lot do this?

the knock on xmas eve morning thing i can see working, but my postmsn is not exactly daily

if i left beer out for the dustman im sure someone would nick it or the would stick it the back of the lorry!

i do however whenever i see the caretaker i chat to occassionally give him sweets in the new year

Mine is fab. Goes out of his way to put parcels in a safe place or leave them with someone, even calls back on occasions.

Can't decide between givng him wine or money, or how to actually go about it - dash out and accost him in the road?

Our postie is great so I usually give him some chocolate or a bottle of something. He sends us a card too.

We give Andy the postman a bottle of wine and I get DC to make a card.

This is in recognition of the fact that he signs for recorded stuff for us and puts it through door (hurrah!), makes sure we get parcels, and puts up with errant children and dogs clambering all over him. His visit is the highlight of our dog's day - every day!

No I don't.

Ok so now we've done the postman what about (if you have one)

window cleaner, paperboy, milkman, lollipop person, dentist, cleaner or gardener?
