nope.

I know exactly how you feel.

I wrote ours the other night and thought...why?

NorbertDentressAngel · 15/12/2008 09:19

(but then I'm not getting into the festive spirit this year)

KbearingGiftsWeTraverseAfar · 15/12/2008 09:21

I have cut back and now only send to long distance people!

christmas spirit is sadly lacking here as well.

I am one of those weird people who genuinely like sitting down and writing a big heap of cards and thinking about all those people, popping in a little letter to the relatives abroad that I have not seen for a while, selecting and pasting in photos of the girls etc etc.
I love recieving them, reading what other people have been up to and like to see them hanging up.
You could say I am a bit sentimental and nuts wanting to keep track of everyone and keep in touch, even if only once a year. Who is to say you are right or I am? It is up to you what you do. If you do it though, only do it because you want to, not because you have to or total waste of time, card and money.

lemontart - you are right it is a nice thing to do, but i really don't want to this year.

This year I seem to be up to my eyeballs in real life things to deal with like getting the car seatbelt fixed, dental appt, chasing up various mundane letters/payments/cock-ups etc.

Not very festive things at all.

I am not into Christmas full stop. But, yesterday I wrote cards to our neighbours, and to people we know generally, and enclosed some school photos to a couple of people and it felt OK-ish - but I did think wouldn't it be nice if these people would just come round for a chat instead.

I'm having doubts too.

Received my first e card last week and it was actually quite nice.

Anyone else had one?
