Well, have made it
Used your recipe Bramshott but instead of the egg yolks I used supercook egg white powder.
It ended up a bit too soft to handle, I added more icing sugar but it was still a bit too soft so instead I just smeared it on the cake and smoothed it over. It worked really well
dd reckons its much nicer than our usual stuff and dh says its much more almondy and nice. As for me, i ate too much
Am going to try royal icing next sunday. Gulp.
