PIL 2 - Live near us, nearly retired.

My Parents - Have the money to buy what they want.

Im going to put a photo of dd in a nice frame for them but need something else.

Help - What can I get them. Me and dp havent a clue. Budget of £20 for each couple. Thanks xxx

photo personalised items - eg mousemats, calendars, mugs etc - including works of art by your DD if she is old enough.

get DD to make things with her handprints if she is tiny - eg tea towel

Nice foodie bits and treats - UK specialities? Is it too late to post overseas now?

PIL and your parents - how about bird feeders? You can get the clear ones that stick on the window, and DD can help you mix up a bird food cake

Oxfam unwrapped or similar for those who don't need teh money spending on them?

I was looking at getting some DVDs for my Mum showing various gardens round the world and in the UK (various ones, search under DVD and gardens on amazon if you're interested) but have parked that in favour of getting her photo taken with the grandchildren.

A hamper of home made goodies?

A shrub for the garden?

Thanks. I may do footprints and see what I can do. A food hamper of UK food that they cant get in the US is a great idea - They are here for Christmas so can take it back.

I may do a hamper for my parents aswell - They love cheese so it wont be too hard!

Thanks x

I have done photo books this year, it was good fun to do and photobox had a special offer, you may still have time

Can you carry food over to the US? Would they get it past customs?
How about one of those digital photo frames that you stick to your fridge? Then load up with piccies of your DCs.

Have you thought about sponsoring a child as a christmas gift? Ideal for people who have everything and if you're stuck for ideas..regular updates sent, 100% to the child and no admin costs from sponsorship money.

You can choose where you'd like to sponsor - instructions here are really clear and it looks like a really good organisation.

Thats a good idea Marwois - I will have a look into that.

They sneak food back when they visit!! You cant get decent chocolate or suet over there so they always take that back with them.
