Here I think this site tells you if you can order it online???

I cant get it in any of my local supermarkets - Do you have any huge supermarkets near you that may stock it??

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:32

thanks for that

that means sainsbos never stock it then

Dunnes stores in Ireland still do it

hoxtonchick · 09/12/2008 21:34

dp & i were lamenting you can't get these any more. 'tis very annoying. he is the only vegi in our family & it was great to chuck in the oven when i was roasting a chicken. ah well.

janeite · 09/12/2008 21:34

Sainsbos still do it.

UnfortunatelyMe · 09/12/2008 21:35

Sainsburys has it...i tell you whats way nicer, linda Ms cheese red onion and leek lattice things.

thisisyesterday · 09/12/2008 21:36

you could always make something nice instead!

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:39

i like to completely over indulge at christmas dinner

usually cooking

2 quorn roasts
cauldron sausages x12
quorn sausages x12
realeat sausages x12

sosmix balls - two bags worth

peanut nut roast
cashew nut roast

etc etc

then eat CONSTANTLY for at least 3 days

thisisyesterday as a long term vegetarian i absolutley CRAVe the likes of fake meats\

they are the best - smothered in lashings of stuffing and gravy with sprouts adorning!

AnarchyInAManger · 09/12/2008 21:41

You need to get to FarmFoods

They have everything Quorn - roasts (two kinds!), pieces, mince, fillets, nuggets, bacon, three flavours of banger, escalopes, beef style pieces.... and all for about half the supermarket price.

merrykittymas · 09/12/2008 21:42

Do you really like those Quorn roast Otter I mean really, I thought they looked and tasted like dog food (sorry)

I'm having a caramelised red onion and goats cheese tart (made by me) with Apricot stuffing (made by M&S) veggie gravy and all the veg and veggie gravy.

I think I am the only vegetarian that doesn't like nut roast too.

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:42

where is farmfoods Anarchy? never heard of it

OP posts:
thisisyesterday · 09/12/2008 21:42

really? I can't stand them. although, when pg I do get terrible cravings for real meat. which I indulged in today

stuffing, gravy and sprouts I highly approve of though

BibiJesus · 09/12/2008 21:44

My local Asda and Tesco both sell it so it is still around.

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:44

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:46

I can eat the mince and the fake chicken if it's covered in sauce but draw the line at those fake chicken fillet things.

M&S do these lovely Brie and Cranberry parcel things too very festive.

NotanOtter · 09/12/2008 21:46

massively naff sounding now...i actually carve it - pretending it is meat !

OP posts:
merrykittymas · 09/12/2008 21:48

erm if we are doing confessions during pregnancy I have been known to .......

eat a McDonalds

runs and hides

it's the babies fault you see, it's DP carnivore genes so technically not me eating it I am merely the vessel

AnarchyInAManger · 09/12/2008 21:48

Farmfoods is cheap freezer shop - full of crap food but with the odd v v cheap gem. Like when they had Rocombe Farm organic ice cream last summer for 99p a tub [mmmmmm]

I've got one coming in my asda shopping on friday ready for roasting on christmas day.

DH is a veggie but the rest of us will eat quorn fake meat and tofu (in stir fry) but I do draw the line at sosmix. He loves it and I hate it.

AnarchyInAManger · 10/12/2008 07:52

Sosmix has been discontinued anyway

They have some replacement thats twice the price, tastes v odd, and no longer vegan.

NotanOtter · 10/12/2008 13:19

oh no anarchy - right off to hollandand barrett - might start a thread later!
