Oh dear, I had no idea how much I had spent on the dd's until I just added it up now...

I've spent too much but I'm sure she'll love it. Some of her presents are things I bought ages ago and stockpiled them. The only really dear thing is the Nintendo DS I've ordered which I've got my fingers crossed will turn up in time....

She's just had a new set of bedroom furniture (bed/storage/duvets/lamps/rug etc) as we've just moved as well. Gulp.

WilyWombat - spreadsheet??????

so that's how to avoid finding stuff in April that I forgot I bought.

I refuse to add up. Have a loose mental tally of about £100 each inc stockings, but I think I am in denial.

I suspect I have spent too much as I have bought it all online and had it delivered to my sisters house in London as we are in Belgium - and so I can't actually see the presents. But she did call up and tell me to stop buying stuff as her flat was full - hoping she was exaggerating .

I told my ds (aged9) that santa wasn't real, cos some of the kids at school are so mean, worried he'd get no end of grief if he said he still believed to be fair, he had asked me directly if he was real or not.

H cried and said he hated growing up and wanted to be a kid again & that he was jealous of his 4 yr old brother

I haven't totted up end total.

Just been commissioned by fil to get mine a pressie as he can't think what to get.

I'm another hoarder. I work on the mindset that it will be cheaper if I pick up bargains through the year I'm starting to realise that I just end up forgetting what I have bought and getting more and then getting caught up in the Christmas spirit and think "Oh one more won't hurt!". I'm not adding it up now, I might want to shoot myself if I do!

Same here Yander, have to turf out all my cupboards and find the pressies... always have twice as much as I actually remember buying. I REFUSE to add it up.
Our excuse is that we have no family to buy for our 2.8year old dd so it's all down to us to get her stuff.
