Really boring I know but this my first year of having my own Christmas tree but I have no idea what lights to put on. I want white lights but how long? LED or not? shapes or plain bulbs?

What does everyone else have?

i would get leds because you nevber have to change the bulbs! no more checking the entire thread to see which one is maing the rest of them not work.
they're fab.

a smallish set should be fine, 80 or so? i just have plain bulbs, but it's personal preference

bollockbrain · 02/12/2008 20:06

how big is your tree? It looks better with lots of lights methinks rather than one of those strands you run out of bulbs half way down the tree!

WingsofaTreefairy · 02/12/2008 20:07

I have lots of lights plain white ones.

How big is your tree ?

ahh yes, when I say a smallish set is fine I am thinkig of my own, rather small, tree!
if you have a big tree then more lights

Anna8888 · 02/12/2008 20:09

LED definitely. Get tiny plain bulbs on a green wire which will blend into the tree. I bought two sets of 176 bulbs each for my tree which is 165 cm tall.

Haven't got the tree yet but will be 6 foot real one.

The low voltage ones (come with a transformer) are safer than the full voltage ones as these can get hot (my dad is an electrician and has made me get rid of all my full voltage lights since I had my ds!).
