Following on from the thread earlier about presents for nursery staff, can I ask about teachers?

DD is in reception and I'm not sure whether it's the done thing or not. It's a state school, outside of London, fwiw.

DS makes cards for the teacher and TA and we usally look together for a present. They both do a fab job so like getting them something nice for xmas.

Last year I made biscotti and chocolate-dipped coconut macaroons, wrapped up in cellophane from a florist, tied with ribbon and with an ingredients label attached. They were very well received, and cheap to make.

This year I have recycled glasses from M&S which will be filled with Christmassy M&S mini chocs and homemade biscuits.

The DC get their teachers & TA's a christmas tree decoration. Alternatives are wine, chocolate etc.
