Im just having a coffee break from my cleaning so forgive me if I stop replying I will check back later.

The story is generally we are invited to my nana's for xmas dinner and stay there for the day and supper etc. Only this year we are not allowed for dinner or supper only an hour or so for "a little tea" so that she can see the children. The rest of my family are allowed but because I have children I am excluded from this family gathering because "people can't relax when the kids are here its too much"

Children love christmas.. No matter what you do. Play games.. Let them decide what to do all day - play with new toys, eat chocolate etc. Have a few drinks and when children are in bed relax with a movie and drink.
I am sure that your surroundings wont be a issue for you dc's?

You flat - can you get some heaters to make it cosy?

Its not a flat its a house but the central heating is broke. I have heaters and it does get warmer downstairs. No I don't suppose the kids will mind so long as it is warm.

So do you think I should take them back to my house? I suppose that probably is a better idea since DH only has a kitchen, bathroom and dining room upto now the builder reckons he can have the living room done by then and I suppose there isn't much left to do in that room it has flooring and furniture it just needs painting and a fire fitted.

DD1 is getting wii games for xmas she will be wanting to play and dd2 finds it hilarious watching dd1 play the wii so I guess where the wii is would be the best solution which would be my house and we can all play that together, I am sure they would both enjoy watching daddy being an all star cheerleader
