anyone else getting frustrated waiting for other people to sort out their christmas arrangements?

I am getting seriously twitchy now - I still don't know who is coming for Xmas dinner and when/whether we are going to stay with relatives over christmas.
Waiting for my db to decide what he is going to do. Basically he and sil MIGHT invite my dad. If they do, then I won't. If they don't then I will. Then I need to sort out when I will be seeing my db and family, and where, and if he isn't coming for xmas, when I'm going to see my dad.

Isn't it starting to get a bit late now? Or am I being a bit anal? I feel uncomfortable that my dad still hasn't had a proper invite from anyone for xmas (though he may not have noticed this and just be assuming he is coming to us..) Would just like it to be SORTED.

Thank you for listening

just invite him to yours to save all the stress. if you db was that worried he would have done it by now.

db isn't worried, why would he be?
Fact is neither of us is desperate to have my dad, and I don't want it to become my job by default (I do have two siblings after all). Db has said they will have dad if they are at home (they live in same town as him) - but it is complicated as SIL family may not be able to travel to them. So I guess I am really waiting for SIL to work out what they are doing.

A friend of mine can't get a def ok from her mum, yet her mum has told her that she will be bringing the xmas pudding lol!!

Aren't families complicated eh? We are all waiting to see what happens with my gran, who usually comes to us because everyone else on that side of the family b@&&*$£ off skiing for the week. But she has been in hospital and might not be able to travel...And we had also within my family agreed that we were going to alternate Christams and Boxing Day between immediate family and the in-laws, and that has all got mucked up this year, so none of us know what we are doing yet...and yes, I think I am bit anal about the whole thing but DS breaks up next friday and I like tto get the freezer stocked up so I don't spend the whole week ikn the kitchen with my apron on!!
Phew- so yess, Elliott I do understand where you are coming from!
