Hi can anyone recommend a DVD with a christmas theme for us to watch with our 2.7 son. Any ideas on what would be suitable although I doubt he will sit still for more than 20 minutes but I can watch it.

Hi, The Polar Express or the Snowman. Both brilliant for that age. Have a good one.

Iirc the Polar Express may introduce the idea of Santa not being quite, you know? The Snowman is lovely and you can buy books to go with it. Mine still have the Ladybird book.

Best Best BEST ever is "Santa Clause The Movie" which has Dudley Moore in it.

It's a lovely christmas story, with super animatronic reindeer, a proper Father Christmas, and NO scary bits.

We have watched it every Christmas eve since DS was tiny, he's 9 now.

Isn't Polar Express a bit scary for a 2 y.o.

The snowman is smashing yes

The Bear, The Snowman and Father Christmas - Raymond Briggs' stories on dvd - unbeatable for Christmas cheer. Like The Bear best!

i got a cheapie in Woolies a few weeks ago which is a Fireman Sam Christmas story (with two other episodes on it too) and my 3 yr old DS loves that. Was going to wait until Dec to watch it but he has been poorly and so i caved and let him watch it.

Also got a triple set on Amazon of Rudolph (the old animated Burl Ives version), Santa Claus is Coming to Town(made by the same people) and Frosty the Snowman (modern cartoon)....it was under £10

Thanks for the great ideas I actually fancy all of them but must show some restraint. I didn't know the Raymond Briggs stories were on DVD - going to have a look on Amazon.
Thanks for th ehelp

I have bought mine the snowman. Am planning on whipping it out on Christmas Eve as a small present from us so that I can get on with sorting things out - mine are 4 and 2 years old. Only cost £4 I think.
