We are having all the family over for something less formal on Boxing day.

Am thinking of getting my DP's dad (he's 70) to dress up as Santa.

All the children are on my side on the family, the oldest is 4, will be 5 in March. The 4 year old nephew has met my DP's dad a few times, only at Christmas. Will my nephew recognise him??

Well, my sister and her husband used to take it in turns to dress up as santa every other year and "visit" their DDs - she swears they never realised until they were about 6!!

I wouldn't bother TBH. I think it's far more magical that Santa isn't seen. DSs think that the santas they see in stores are just helpers for the real one as he's too busy. I don't think the costume would be good enough quality TBH.
