The last two christmases we have had christmas at our house, with my dad (mum died) and my older brother, because they are on their own. My older sister and other older brother have their own families and had christmas on their own.
This year I've recently become estranged from my dad and we made plans to go to mil's for christmas eve and christmas day, as she lost her eldest daughter (dp's sister) a couple of months ago and it'll be a tough time for her.
The plan was that my brother and dad would spend christmas together- however my brother has now found out the reason we became estranged from dad and now doesn't want anything to do with him either. So now my brother and dad will be alone at christmas.
Mil lives 100+ miles away so my brother can't just tag along with us. I feel really guilty that he'll be alone, but I can't think of a way to keep everyone happy.
