Anywhere in London/SE have a Christmas grotto open yet?

Ds's have an inset day this week and I haven't been able to find anywhere to take them for a day out - we went to Harrods last year but it was fully booked when I tried to book it for this year. Most other places don't seem to start until next week or the week after...

Anyone got any suggestions? Something that's not just a straightforward grotto in a department store would be even better...

I heard Bluewater is now open, you can always give that a go!

Hmm, there are smaller shopping centres which are closer and probably have grottoes - so whilst I wouldn't mind a trip there myself I don't think it will be very appealing to two boys! Maybe something like a Christmassy train ride.... anyone else got any suggestions?

Watfords is now open and its free to see Santa and get a gift! Only pay if you get a photo etc etc

Harrods despite being fully booked were asking customers if they'd like to visit the grotto because they had so many cancellations.May be worth a phone call.

I think the one at the new Westfield shopping centre is open.

Book online. It's free (apart from the booking fee

We took DD to see Santa at Harrods last week. We were wandering around the toy dept first and staff came up and asked if we would like to go and see Santa (we already had tickets booked) as they had had so many people not turn up. There was no queue and very quiet. It was a week day though. Last year we went on a Sunday and had to queue for ages even though we'd booked, etc.
