I'm making my mum CD's as part of her christmas present this year(am a bit skint so needs must and she does love music so) anyway so far I have 4 disks full.

She is 39 and likes most music anything from now back to the 70's does anyone have any particular songs they love am just looking for ideas.

Also there is a song she likes and I can't remember what it is, I think it's called something Stripper or summit?!? It's from the 80's and is doing my head in as I know the tune but not any words...

i can't help, useless with music, but try posting this in the music topic

brightwell · 04/11/2008 11:01

Patricia the Stripper, Chris De Burgh maybe???

GunpowderTreasonAndLemon · 04/11/2008 11:01

Soul Stripper, AC/DC? Although that's from the 70s...

Thomcat · 04/11/2008 11:03

Why don't you look up what song has been no 1 on her birthday every year since she was born and compile a CD from that?

mamadiva · 04/11/2008 11:36

Ooh Thomacat thats quite a good idea think my Great Gran would like that too actually although can you get songs form that far back? 30's?

Not Patricia the stripper I know that song. It's quite a kind of technoish noise at the start IYKWIM. Defo 80's or early 90's judging by sound. This is really annoying me now

Private Dancer by Tina Turner?

mamadiva · 04/11/2008 11:43

Nah I know that one too... god this is annoying me.

It's a weird noise I have the tune in my head but cant describe it, sounds like a key board on a weird note IYKWIM it's quite fast can imagine it being clubby at the time.

Am sure it's something to do with a stripper in the name.

Sad that i know, i know, but there was one that went 'there was a male stripper in a go-go bar...' repeatedly. Sorry, I haven't a clue what it was called though.. could that be it??

mamadiva · 10/11/2008 12:39

BEVLONGY I think thats it! Is it called male stripper or summit?

OP posts:
bevlongy · 11/11/2008 23:35

Could be!! I seem to think that it was done by a transvestite, or drag artist or something similar .. (or maybe I'm just having warped memories!)

'strip for me, babe, strip for you. strip for me cos I want you to...'

after i posted yesterday, i was singing it when I went to bed & again this morning. Hope you find what it's called!

lilolilmanchester · 11/11/2008 23:46
