Hello!
I want to buy a few classic Christmas films to watch over the festive period and wondered if anyone has any personal faves?

I will definitely be getting scrooge (alistair Sim) and I have Polar Express but any other magical Christmas movie recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!
Barbsx

Ohmigod Mildmannered - I can smell the mulled wine already ...!

I'm going to log onto Amazon now to order the DVD. (One of my usual Xmas traditions is scouring the Xmas TV guide as soon as it comes out to see if this is going to be on - clearly madness, at the tender age of 30-something it's high time I owned my own copy!).

LolaLadybird · 04/11/2008 08:25

'Tis done - one copy of Scrooge winging it's way to me. I sooo can't wait for Christmas!

hazeyjane · 04/11/2008 08:58

The 3 films we have to watch every Christmas are

Muppet Christmas Carol
White Christmas
Natinal Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Meet me in StLouis would be in there, but for the fact that Judy Garland singing Have 'Yourself a Merry little Christmas' makes me too tearful for Christmas.

SamJohnsMum · 04/11/2008 09:07

I know a few people have mentioned it, but you really can't beat Muppet Christmas Carol. Santa Clause - The Movie (with Dudley Moore) is also good!

trixymalixy · 04/11/2008 20:48

Not a film, but my favourite Xmas watch is The Box of Delights.

EachPeachPearMum · 05/11/2008 16:59

Oh- I LOVE Box of delights- can still remember the music from when I watched it as a child! (well, teenager probably)

I love 'It's a wonderful Life' and 'Love Actually' and still cry most of the way through the Snowman... just because I know what's coming.

Santa Claus The Movie - The dudley Moore one - I watch it every year on Christmas eve!! Love it

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/11/2008 10:27

ds loves Christmas with the Kranks

saramoon · 06/11/2008 15:37

National Lampoon's Christmas vacation is funny - with chevy chase

jennymac · 07/11/2008 08:19

Every year we watch - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, It's A Wonderful Life, Love Actually and Bad Santa! Not all on the same day obviously! My hubbies fav is National Lampoon so we always watch it after we have decorated the tree as we sip our mulled wine and feast on mince pies. Such a special day - how sad are we?!
