So looks like it will be just me and dp and 2 children (age 1 & 3) for Christmas dinner this year and dh suggested going out for a curry. Part of me thinks this is a good idea as prob cost less in the long run than buying a turkey and all the trimming, would mean I don't spend all day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning, so more relaxing and family friendly (actually spending time with children and playing with their toys and RELAXING).

However part of me thinks we will miss out because we are not having turkey and all the trimmings, that it won't be Christmas without it?

Am i being mad? Take the easy option?
Opinions?

Thanks!

Go for it! Pull crackers and wear silly hats when you get home

Do something different, we do roast beef here as it is much more appreciated than turkey.
