Stocking or Sack???

Hi, i am a bit of a traditionalist and love the children to get christmas stockings, but the stocking presents are the ones FC brings for them, i don't do a main present that he brings. So i was thinking that the sacks look bit bigger to fit things in, some of the presents although not expensive are bulky and i don't think will fit in the stocking, do you do stockings or sacks?

thanks

G

We do stockings (one of DH's kilt socks) filled with little things (generally from Hawkin's Bazaar) and one big present from FC under the tree.

My 3 have these

Same here. FC presents (stocking & tree) are all wrapped in same reindeer paper to differentiate them. I still remember one year when I woke up to my stocking and a big parcel of books on the floor next to my bed from FC (was v.v. excited) so maybe you can just wrap in same paper and put on or next to bed anything that won't fit in stocking?

stockings come from santa.

sacks are presents from us/family.

Stockings from Santa; tree presents from family. Santa brings smaller gifts and then the tree pressies from family are the main ones (eg a scooter this year).

stokings look great with a few things spilling out

Stockings from FC in their rooms - they can open as soon as awake, and then bigger presents under the tree from us which they can't open until everyone is dressed and breakfasted.

We are doing both this year. Stocking by dd's bed (to keep her busy when she wakes up too early x-mas day) and then a sack down stairs with her main presents in (she has'nt realy got a main present, just smaller things). Stocking will only have a couple things, like a small book, pants, polly pocket and chocolate coins. So stocking before breakfast, evrything else after, even though dd1 takes alday to open hers which makes it last longger.

If you're robbing a bank, you'll need both. (Though at the moment probably only a small sack. A nappy bag may do).

Our stockings are actually Christmas bags/sacks. with about 20 litle presents in.
I don't wrap stocking presents.

pmsl at SPTP, came to say err...

if it's in relation to a work colleague then they would most likely prefer stockings. Who wants the sack?
