my dd's were obbsessed with watching the polar express last year, esp the bit where the little boy gets the first gift of xmas (bell from the sleigh for those of you who have not seen it!)

dh had the fantastic idea of buying these from elc, cutting the bells of and then tied a bit of red ribbon to it to make it look like the bell from the sleigh.

we left them lying in the front garden to make it look like they feel of when santa landed and dd's found them when we were on our way out for dinner, even now they keep them safe in there bedrooms.

That's a great idea. We got our chimney cleaned this time last year, and the sweep 'found' a bit of white fur from Santa's costume. It took pride of place in our kitchen for ages.

Awww that sounds lovely.....we just do the traditional carrot, mice pie with a bite taken out.

It's a lovely idea! I kept the red ribbon and bell from the Lindt Chocolate rabbits for the same purpose - is that really tight?
