I'm asking here, but in reality its for his birthday which is close to christmas, but seeing as though you will all be buying for christmas I'll ask in regards to that!

I was going to get him a bike BUT he has said he doesn't want one now, and he has about 6 ride on/ push along/ scooter like things in the garden that never get used so Im not sure a bike is the best idea.

I really don't know what to get him!

My ds has a birthday close to Christmas and in all honesty I haven't given it very much thought yet!

I might get him a dress up outfit (pirate or something) because he loves playing pretend games right now.

Just don't know really...

Have exactly the same situ with our 3.5yr DS. We want to get him a bike but he's not bothered, he wants - Moon Sand, K-Nex & yet another battery operated plastic Thomas train & Bertie Bus that goes around a track. (grr have already got about 10 toys with dead batteries) x

I am buying DS a wooden castle .
He loves his farm and my parents are buying all the associated figures, so not too expensive.

DD in the same vein is getting a playmobil magic castle, with relatives buying the bits to go with it.

DS is rising 3
DD is rising4

No idea - probably no 'main' present as he has everything really (has 2 older brothers) - Our 'outhouse' is like a bike shop - we have computer stuff, garage, train tracks, keyboard etc etc.

I'm going for smaller things he'll like.

My MIL has bought the boys a Wii between them anyway so that's their main present.

I have got my 4.5yr old a Leapster with 3 games as he is really into computers a the moment.
Have also got him a Playmobil Pirate Ship (we have loads of Playmobil Pirate stuff from last year) and a Playmbobil Castle Super set as I hope to get him the Castle for his birthday in March.

Hello - I have something lovely to share

I am in the same situation, my son will be 3 about 2 weeks before xmas so we have been around toys r us, elc etc already looking for ideas. There was some great stuff in elc (portable cd sing along thing, keyboard with mike, garage with free cars, kitchen and pretend food, space ship etc etc)

Anyway, whilst thumbing through there brochure at home I found an advert for "birthday club" if you register your details with elc they will give you 20% off everything you buy for thier birthday - which as it's close to xmas means you can also stock up on xmas presents too!!!!!

Here is the link for the online registration - I plan on saving myself a small fortune!www.elc.co.uk/birthdayclub

DS is our in January and we're getting him a bike then, so that doesn't help you much... We don't really get a big/main present for him at Christmas as he gets so much anyway and then has his birthday so soon afterwards.

What about a wooden castle with knights etc.?

fruitful · 15/10/2008 18:06

A cardboard rocket and a spaceman outfit. They spend hours playing with cardboard boxes ...

My DS is getting a wii to share with his sister, and a lightning mcqueen car, he would actually like a chair that flies[hmmm]

Got him a train set on a table for his birthday last week (he turned 3) which was a huge success!

witchwoman · 17/10/2008 23:12

I'm getting small presents for my 4 year old probably as can't think of anything big he needs., I'm definately going to include a puppet or 2. I've started selling them recently and he keeps trying to run off with the stock so i'm taking that as a hint! Maybe a dinosaur one and a pirate.

BananaFruitBat · 17/10/2008 23:17

Errr, where can I get a Flyboat from idobelieveinghosts? DS loves the Wonderpets.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen, DS is having a bike. A red one because it's nearly pink .

feedthegoat · 17/10/2008 23:18

V tech V smile - half price in tesco. I was thinking bike too but he's banged on about writing to father christmas about the pooh bear tv game so much I've given in. Heaven help me when he's older!

Aarrgghh · 17/10/2008 23:29

DS 3 in two weeks - have got him a bike for birthday.

For Christmas have got him Fisher Price Shake & Go here. It is out of stock now but has happened before and has come back in stock again. Reduced from 50 to 25.

Also a Fisher Price digital camera reduced from 60 to 30 here

And Roary car reduced from 120 to 60 here

idobelieveinghosts · 18/10/2008 13:03

Bananafruitbat...i got the 'flyboat' new off e-bay..from someone in the states..it was 17.95 ish and then 13.00 postage...i was considering it for a while..and then decided to. They have more to sell too, the seller was called synergyauc.

So glad i did, it arrived the other day and its brill..lights up plays the song and sayings.....i have asked around in the toy shops and not many have ever heard of the wonderpets and no wonderpets toys on their lists for christmas.

MrsMattie · 18/10/2008 13:10

I was struggling for ideas, but have just ordered the digital camera @ Arrghhhh - thanks so much! had seen it in Woolies and thought DS would love it, but was a bit about spending £60 on it. Excellent!
