How often are you feeding your Xmas cakes?

last year i fed it too much and it was almost too boozy.

this year, i'm trying every other week.

the fruit didn't soak as long, either, before cakes baked.

I usually store mine on top of the kitchen cabinets but they are in the pantry this year. I feed them every 2-3 weeks with a capful of brandy. I am too lazy to poke hole in the cake so just drizzle it over the top. They go darker with time & feeding - mine are caramel coloured now but will be nice and dark by xmas.
