Looking for some inspiration. Mine has asked for a few things but want to surprise her with a few other bits.

What has yours asked for?

What has your 7 year old asked for?! I don’t have a clue what to get a 7 year old GD who doesn’t ever ask for or hint at anything 🤷🏼‍♀️Sorry I can’t help you but hope
you can help me 😁

Haha no worries. She's asked for some Barbie things mostly, a locket necklace, and 'something squishy' (her words 🤣).

Dd wants a schleich stables and a Barbie horse set. She has previously liked the little live pets, a Barbie house, a trampoline, a bike, an art set etc.

StockingsByTheFire · 07/10/2026 19:37

Mine is a bit of a tomboy.

So far:

Stocking:

Among Us bag charm
Aquapet Tamagotchi thing
Palm Pals hot chocolate plushie
Tube of Jellytots
Jurassic park tiny biting dinosaur
Toxic waste sweets
Pencil case with built in calculator
Needoh baby nice cube

Which has come to £30

Then presents:

Bum or Face book
Set of juggling balls
Jellycat marshmallows
Lagoon gel Playset
Monster sticker book
Pancake flipper plushie
The wishing chair book
Needoh gumball
Twisty pet bracelets
Galt magnetic lab
Moon ball
Robo alive lizard
Dino smashers skull
Glitter dumpling (which took 8 goes to find the sodding thing)

Totalling £121.59

I kind of pick bits up as I see them on the bargain thread or around in the shops.

Will pick up a large present of sorts, perhaps some kind of bike/physical activity gift

My DD8 is getting a silicone reborn type doll from us plus a Peekimo and some Hooded Owl bath potions.

I’ve started a list for if other family ask and it includes… a hamster ball bitzee, Zoey the robodog, the playmobil toddler/daycare set, bathbomb making kit, the our generation baby sister and new Yoto story cards (Mallory Towers, Worst Witch, Brambly Hedge).

When she was 7, she got the Barbie campervan and camping set, a basketball hoop for outside and a didicar.

She loves toys so is very easy to buy for!

Posywosey · 07/10/2026 22:05

DD just turned 7 and has enough ridiculous amounts of stuff.

She has asked for (yet more) squishalongs, a magic kit, a badge making set, a Chelsea camper, various books and a sewing machine (her cousin has a kids one that we got her at a similar age that she is jealous of).

Lol doll balls /mini brands are also a huge hit as are the mini furbys (often down to a couple of pounds on Amazon) so have those to add to the stocking along wih a few small smiggle bits, claires bits that I got when they were closing and a cute book lamp for reading in the dark.

Posywosey · 07/10/2026 22:10

@StockingsByTheFire the pancake plushie was one of the huge hits of DD's 7th birthday. Hope it is as popular wih yours!

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine the hamster ball bitzee was DD's no 1 most wanted last Xmas. I can count in one hand the number of times she has played with it - hopefully your DD will use it more.

Some ideas based on things my dd liked at that age:
Lego - a theme she is interested in
Fancy shoes - dd used to love the glittery sequin sketchers high tops that light up when you jump
Harry Potter dolls made by Mattel
A diary and/or notebook and cute (e.g. legami) pens
Craft items - posca pens, bracelet making, scissors/glue/fabric/pretty paper

laughinglovingliving · 07/10/2026 22:16

An Osmo thingy from Vinted, some stitch stuff… books, creative stuff

Catchafallingstar7 · 08/10/2026 00:06

My 7yo DD loves toys and crafts so, similar to above…

main gift is silicone reborn doll (prime deals) from Santa (I’ve washed and will gift her some of her own baby newborn clothes to go alongside this)

A Peekimo (Smyths) & A generation doll school and accessories (second hand from market place) that will be labelled from mum & dad.

total of about £90 all in.

then her and her brothers have stockings with various nicknacks DD has surprise balls, selection box and some second hand Wicked soft toys from Vinted. It’s filled with little bits she will use over the year (new and very good condition thrifted). Puzzles, craft sets, pjs, fluffy onesie etc, magazine, choc and sweets & Isadora moon box set. Not a huge budget but looks like a lot in a cute sack. Tried to be very mindful of making it fun for her but also not just “open and not play with again toy”

she’s asked for GUI GUI set or a potion kit from grandparents.

more inspo from her bday and previous years:

hama beads
generation dolls
mini brands
light up scooter
stitch merch
water beads
potion set
Electronic Secret diary
bloomables toy
magic mixies
mini brands
surprise LOL balls
Bath bombs from lush
camera that prints out instantly
video camera kids version
Foil fun

I think I have just as much fun playing with the stuff as DD does!

ImmortalNowBabyDoll · 08/10/2026 00:20

My DD is 6 but will be nearly 7 at Xmas.

So far, she's got stocking bits that I've picked up when I've seen sales including:

Doll clothes for Baby Annabelle
A few little bits from the Entertainer like one of those Bunnycorns in an egg
Smiggle bits (ruler, lockable journal, scented pencils)

I've also got some Lego friends sets from Vinted but waiting to see how much she likes them before buying more expensive sets, her birthday will be coming up so it will be a barometer for then.

I'm trying to figure out a main gift, maybe a reborn baby as she loves a good baby doll.

17caterpillars1mouse · 08/10/2026 08:34

I picked up a bubble sticker maker in thr prime sale yesterday - she is very crafty type

Shes asked for a vtech virtual cat thing and a monster high doll but not a lot else.

Thinking of getting some harry potter merch and maybe the piglet lego.

runnerducky · 08/10/2026 09:20

Haven't started buying yet, but so far I'm planning

Hooded Owls potion making set
More slime
Unicorn Academy Wildstar toy
A gymnastics leotard
Football shirt (to match her twin brother - she'll only complain otherwise!)
pyjamas
Pastel felt tips
Possibly new paints

Need some chocolate, stocking bits, books, etc.

She's easy, her brother is much trickier. If anyone has good 7 year old boy ideas, I'm all ears

newrubylane · 08/10/2026 19:16

Oh, and a Lego set from the friends range

skkyelark · 08/10/2026 23:55

Thus far DD wants more Lego Friends sets and new rollerskates. She's also currently devouring The Twitches books, and hits from her 7th birthday included slightly more grown-up art materials (oil pastels, a better watercolour palette, a proper sketchbook) and this fossil dig kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CP5WT32C.

TallSturdyGirls · 08/10/2026 23:58

A football, favourite team top, jigsaw, books (dick king Smith, sophie books), arty stuff.
