Ideas for useful and fun Christmas stocking fillers for young children

what are some really cool/ useful Christmas stocking fillers ? Lets say 4 items each. I really don’t want tat but I can’t think of anything fun and different.

My kids love an electric toothbrush. I get the character ones from home bargains. My 8 year old is also monopoly mad and there are loads of different themed ones on vinted for cheap! I just got a brand new grogu one for £6 x x x

I’ve got a packet of snap cards for this year so far. Previously had toothbrushes, socks, Jacob’s ladder, sweets, temp tattoos, yo yo’s

A mug

Torch
Little LED novelty bedside lights
Character based insulated lunch bag or lunch box
Nice mug that suits their interests
Book - maybe how to identify birds, stars, dinosaurs etc
Child sized but functional and fun cooking implements (those coloured silicone ones)

Remote control car watch
bath bombs with toys in
character cutlery - paw patrol or whatever
colouring book with water pen

Best age for stockings! Travel games - different one each so they can share on longer journeys, dream catcher, personalised baubles, craft items, bubble bath, character perfume/spray e.g Disney, Spiderman etc will be in Boots, hair accessories, character socks, chocolate Santa and coins, 'forbidden' treats (mine always get jar of Nutella in bottom of stocking as we don't buy it usually...cause I will eat it😳)

As well as the great advice above.. I would add that tat is only tat if you never use it again..

Get a box.. call it your stocking box or something.. when the kids get bored of the small things that you put in their stockings, put them in the box. Each year, get the box out in the build up to Christmas and watch them relive the memories and find that "tat" fun again for a day or so each year. The contents will grow, and it's enjoyable even for teenagers who can remince about the Christmas when they were 7 and there was a ... In their stocking.
