I went in to Neals Yard today, I saw they had 30% off so thought I’d have look. They also had an extra 10% off sale. Got my SIL for her birthday next week beauty sleep bubble bath for less than £12 was £19. Nice glass bottle and they wrapped it beautifully. Would make nice Christmas gifts

My 9 year old has asked for a pottery wheel for Christmas or birthday just before…L has anyone got one they can recommend? Bit niche I know!! I’ve been looking at ones that you can use air dry clay on.

I can't recommend a pottery wheel, but as something different would there be anywhere local to you that has a potters wheel and you could then do a gift experience for this?
There are a couple of places near me that do special children's sessions on a proper wheel and do gift vouchers. My kids loved this experience and having someone on hand to help them make their pots was also appreciated (sorry if you have done something like this already/not something you are looking at).

No voucher showing for me 😪

Those power banks go on offer for £10 / £11 regularly. I have a few of them. Maybe worth popping one in your basket and waiting for the next offer to come along.

Thanks - I have done 🙂

Can anyone recommend a good Blind Box? And where to get them from.
My FB is full of them, but they all seem American/Australian.

RunningKatie · 28/08/2026 20:44

John Lewis have 25% off some advent calendars, I can't figure out what the deal is but it looks like it's some toys and games ones.
I was looking at the Uno one but we already have 3 versions so probably don't need another.

User202242 · 28/08/2026 20:51

Not a bargain but whoever was after a squishy dumpling there is an advent calendar on pre-order at the entertainer but £40 ... Crazy Fun Original Mystery Squishy Dumpling Advent Calendar | The Entertainer https://share.google/Dl715XZkAoTH5c1u1

InbetweenDreams · 28/08/2026 22:05

Oh I just remembered as well, in Home Bargains, there was a box of squish alongs for £10. Pretty sure my DDs bought the same box for £20 last year.

Sorry @Moonnstarz I’m not trying to rub it in 😂 I don’t always find the bargains people have posted in there, it is hit or miss!

Moonnstarz · 28/08/2026 14:41

I always find the home bargains mentions stressful as I hate knowing there are good bargains out there but not near me 😂
No exploding kittens in mine either. I also saw someone say they have the little rubber ducks for 79p (they are £1.50 in the entertainer) but couldn't find those either, so not sure if that one is true.
Think someone also mentioned previously the pawpaw squishmallow lip balm but mine only has care bears. Lots of love heart stuff too if you have younger ones into that.

You can order from Home bargains online!

Moonnstarz · 29/08/2026 07:07

Poppycorn123 · 29/08/2026 04:47

You can order from Home bargains online!

But you then have to pay postage which makes it less of a bargain and the smaller bits and pieces (like the supposed ducks) don't go online.
I think it's a place I have to accept if I find the items then it's a win and if they aren't in my store then accept it!

InbetweenDreams · 29/08/2026 08:11

A lot of the bargains tend to be sold out online too.

Poppycorn123 · 29/08/2026 08:32

True for most I suppose. It would cost me a tenner on diesel to get to a home bargains, there are 3 of them all the same distance (in different directions),which is why i dont mind paying postage. I tend to buy things in bulk like noodles etc. So when the Christmas things come out I get them early. Currently waiting to see if the lovely rocking horses are out again this year!

Ewock · 29/08/2026 10:33

Browsing HB online and the catchables. I went through the tags games, then family games.

Hi,

For anyone near a Radley or Denby shop/outlet both stores are closing for good this weekend. The stock in both places is massively reduced.

Some stores have already closed, so it’s best to check before making a special trip.

The Ashford outlets have both closed, for example.

I am particularly sad to see Denby’s departure.

On a selfish note: I am also furious with myself for not buying more of a particular Denby set when I was at the York outlet a few weeks ago 😿

Still open near me but worth noting Radley is all black and beige bags now, none of the colourful bags/purses or gift bits. Denby seems to be all bowls. Agree it’s very sad they’re both closing and to see them in the current state.

Tbf, depending on your car and how far you live from a HB, it can easily be cheaper to pay for postage! Re the Exploding kittens, good shout buying two boxes - I read on the box when I looked at it last night you need as many cats as players - I think you have to try and catch your own cat - so if you wanted to play as a family you’d need extra (and presumably better if they’re different designs!)

We have the original 4 box, a friend bought for my dd. So these will be extras to play with a lot of us. And as they do she would like to collect them all.
We have one not too far, but no guarantee, mine never seem to have the items that people post about 😆 so I figured worth the p&p. They also have a Mariah Elizabeth Gerogie plushie down to £2.99 from £19.99

I’ve been in so many times and they just haven’t had what I went in for! But mine is about 2 mins from my house, so I can go past it on my way home from wherever (I know, I’m so smug lol).

SpottyBumPony · 29/08/2026 12:34

We have that exploding kittens game, 8 year-old DS found it very difficult to play. It takes a lot of coordination
