I remembered at the weekend that QVC website is worth keeping an eye on - they have reductions and also you can pay for some things in 3 or 4 instalments (I seem to remember interest-free but can't be sure). I got a big Elemis set for my mam last year from there and it was great.
Current reductions on Liz Earle, Molton Brown, Neom: https://www.qvcuk.com/collections/best-offers.html?groupId=lfm1&sort=priceHighToLow&ro=lfm1&navSrc=REFINE&currentPage=1#plModule
Obv these are all still v spenny but, if they are the kind of thing you're going to buy for someone, it's worth checking QVC.

Next also have some Liz Earle, Floral Street and Neom beauty boxes if you know people who like those brands

Received an email from Degusta to say advent calendars are ready to pre-order - £34. Think I used a Groupon code from here last year and got a good price - is it worth hanging on to see if one comes out for this year do we think? Can anyone remember how long it was before the Groupon code was issued?

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 24/08/2026 19:06

I wonder why it is some people get Argos codes. Don’t think I’ve ever had one but they obviously send them out frequently as they always pop up on here.

DaisyDooley · 24/08/2026 19:12

I had issues with degusta last year but my mum does love her giant advent calender so I think I’ll send up getting suckered into getting one with groupon.

VeruccaSalty · 24/08/2026 19:35

I had terrible time last year with two Degusta calenders going missing (although tbf that was more EVRI fault)
Degusta customer service was awful though, kept fobbing me off even well into December and then they washed their hands of it because was Groupon. Then Groupon said I could only get Groupon credit not refund but I pushed back on that because it's illegal. Was a lot of faff. But I bet my mum would have loved that calendar

I've just ordered straight from Degusta for £33.99. I'm not going to take my chances with Groupon.

I'll admit I've never heard of it before but think the prices in Yorkshire Trading were very fair based on how beautifully the items are presented.

I wouldnt risk glass bottles with kids though so no good in my house.

Online and in my order some of the bottles are glass and some are plastic.

From your post I imagine all the ones you saw were glass.

MrsMAFs · 24/08/2026 21:18

There may have been others but the glass ones were so pretty so I only really looked at those.

MrsMAFs · 24/08/2026 21:20

Not a mega bargain but couldn't find it cheaper elsewhere including postage (I have prime) but think my DD will love this.

Log in and put something in your basket but don’t buy it. You usually get a code sent out.

How do you get the £6 off? It's still showing full price for me.

Has anyone had the Degusta Cook and Bake Advent calendar before? Just wondering on the type of things that are in it.

Another request if anyone has an Argos code please? I’m spending £99 but happy to pop something else in to get it to £100. Would be very grateful!

Sent you a code

It's new this year. Originally they did one standard and one international, then last year they changed it and scrapped the international one and opted for an ex love islander to promote a curated one.
They do release the contents but not until much later. They never sell out and last year they were discounted quite heavily the end of November.
They have been fun calendars, we have had them for a few years, however there is always issues and the customer service is bad. This year I'm not getting one as I can't face the risk of having issues and battling them again.

Georgieporgie29 · 25/08/2026 09:15

@Icamehomelikeastone thank you. I have looked at the original one the last few years for my Son and I saw the cook one which though might be good for DH. I might just hang fire for now then and see make a decision closer to the time.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 21/08/2026 11:10

It also stacks with 20% off school uniform sparks discount which I found out yesterday, so if you have a 20% off uniform reward in your sparks offers, it double discounts

In the end I did not reorder. However, I did try my luck emailing them and as a gesture of goodwill they have refunded the additional 20% 🥳 Hats off to Marksies!

I didn't realise they were doing a cook & bake one, I've just ordered the regular one. As @Icamehomelikeastone said, I think they do get discounted around Black Friday time.

I've only had last year's calendar from Degusta, and I did subscribe to their boxes for a few months. I didn't have any problems, and cancelling my box subscription was pain free.

Cos1970 · 25/08/2026 14:13

Because I ordered the Degusta calendar last year they’ve given me a discount of £6. The code on the page is AC26CX I don’t know if this is a specific code or a generic one that anyone can use.

Icamehomelikeastone · 25/08/2026 15:00

I checked my degusta emails and I paid with a £20 discount at the end of November
