Sorry if this thread has been done recently (must have missed it if so), but I’m going to make a trip to m&s tomorrow to get some snack items and possibly a dessert for Xmas day - does anyone have any recommendations?

already on my list:

  • biscuit curls
  • fresh cookies
  • Drinking hot chocolate

Chocolate covered custard creams. Or now a Speculoos cream version.
shortbread flavour teabags, still can’t decide if I actually like it.

We love the biscuits that are thickly coated in milk, dark or white chocolate.
And I like the milk chocolate discs in a tube

I bought their big mix last year on the recommendation it was so much better than QS etc, was very disappointed!

Another vote for the honey roasted cashews and the hot dips - there was a lasagne one a few years back which was amazing, but no longer stocked.

Also, olive oil crisps, beef and onion crisps and bacon rasher snacks/crisps.

Dessert-wise, we've got the frozen Chocolate Cherry Yule Roulade and the Lemon and Mascarpone Panettone Gateau. The lemon one is to take to a pre Christmas lunch on Christmas Eve with family. If it doesn't all get eaten (only four adults attending), I'm bringing the rest home!

In the chilled ‘picky bits’ they have turkey toasties which are amazing. Comes with a dipping gravy and everyone asked for more of them!

We had the cherry chocolate roulade for DH’s birthday last week and it was ok. It doesn’t cut well so looks a mess when served. It’s more pavlova style dessert than cake based. It was very cream heavy so not a winner for me but DH and DS liked it.
