Can't see a Christmas fridge thread this year?

Nothing says Christmas like a bun fight over people sharing pictures of their stuffed fridges packed with goodies...

Here's mine so far. Drinks are in the car boot! Will do a top up shop closer to but have the Christmas dinner essentials and treats in there. Can't wait!

Booze is at the back door, turkey is currently in my sisters freezer and I still have desserts to get but I get frozen ones on Christmas Eve and put them into the mini fridge to defrost but here we are

I love this thread ❤️ our shop is coming tomorrow but with 3 kids under 8 theres not enough of the good stuff for me and DH!! The freezer is rammed at the moment as I stocked up on meat deals in the past few weeks, God only knows how I will defrost it! Oh and suitable amounts of biege food for the kids and plenty of late night snack plates for DH and I. Bring it on. Have a lovely Christmas everyone.

I bloody love this thread! We’re doing our fresh stuff tomorrow so can post mine then, but I love seeing other people’s. There was a poster last year whose fridge was the size of a small people carrier. I had proper fridge envy.

This is my favourite thread of the entire year!
I’ve always wanted to post but was put off one year when everyone got a bashing on how unethical it is.

However, the last few Christmas have been horrendous and this is the first one for three years where I’m actually excited! Also the first ever year of hosting!

Ours is full but mainly of Tupperware of food marinating or prepped or veg still in the drawer so it wouldn’t be an exciting photo 😂
cheese is coming this afternoon.
this morning I have made the sausage roll pastry and prepped the sausage meat filling, dh is now making mince pie pastry. I’ve got the bottom layer of millionaire shortbread cooling ready to make the caramel later.
Dh has the stock simmering. The house smells amazing, the kitchen looks like a bomb has gone off in there and I’ve snuck away to have 10 minutes in front of the fire!

I love this thread!!! Here’s our fridge, Waitrose shop not long been delivered. Needed to pop to M&S as there were a few substitutes but all sorted now.

@Loub1987 It is indeed! Don’t ask me what flavour though. It’s dp’s and it’s been there a while. Honestly it has the longest shelf life of any yoghurt I’ve ever seen!

Mine is done! cant fit in the drinks so they are in the garage. I will rotate as we go.

I will need to find some of this, I am obsessed with Reece’s!

I will not be participating this year after all. DH woke me up just after 4am this morning to tell me that the fridge freezer was fucked and that everything in it was defrosting. Lost 90% of the fridge contents, currently have a turkey in the oven, another that isn’t quite defrosted yet, a gammon in the slow cooker and a joint of beef ready to go in when this turkey comes out, as well 147 pigs in blankets to make and cook and a ton of sausage rolls. Going to slice the meat, fill up Tupperware and get it down to my mum’s fridge, ready to be collected Christmas Day.It should be ok, shouldn’t it? Tell me it will all be ok and I won’t give us all Botulism?! It’s only freezer meat that we’re cooking; I’ve binned the stuff in the fridge as that was almost room temperature. Fortunately our guests are vegan, and we’re collecting their stuff this afternoon, along with the veg, so we won’t be poisoning anyone else 🤦‍♀️

Thank God for my mum’s fridge being half empty, AO, and for DH’s obsession with savings, as we have a new one being delivered at some point tomorrow, but obviously need to let it sit for a while before I can fill it up. Sodding bastard thing. Only five years old as well 😡

I’ve read some heartbreaking things recently where people are genuinely struggling, so I’m reminding myself that if this is the worst thing I have to worry about then we’re not doing too badly! Just got to keep DH from losing his marbles at being in traffic for two hours in and out of Sainsbury’s now, wish me luck! 🤦‍♀️😄

Here is mine , all done thankfully. We have more soft drinks, wine and beer in our wine fridge. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas 🎄

It sounds like an unholy nightmare but your meat will be fine @WilfredsPies ; it's freshly cooked and cooled then going to be properly chilled in the fridge for a couple of days 👍

It's not really much consolation I know, but at least if you have the unexpected preparing and cooking done today you'll have less to do on Christmas Day?

Sorry @WilfredsPies , that sound horrendous! Rest assured the meat will be fine.

Will get some more milk tomorrow and Gu pots. My Mum is bringing ham slices and slices of fresh chicken for two meat eaters. Only five of us. There's a quiche and pizza in freezer as a backup. DH can't drink right now, and other three will only want one or two glasses, there are plenty of bottles lined up if required.

We are ready for Christmas now 😄 plus the pantry is officially stuffed too!

But in the spirit of not eating everything before the big day and because we've just cleaned the house top to bottom, we're going to have an Indian tonight, so may have to cram in some leftovers too 😂
