Arghhhh need gift idea for couple!!

We have some family friends who have done a lot for us in the past year and we’d like to buy a Christmas/ thank you gift for them.

The problem instant I don’t know them that well on a personal level- more of a chat at family parties etc. They are in their early 70s and love to entertain.

Booze would go down well but they have a fully stocked pub in their garden (not just a garden bar!) so they have everything.

They’re also going away for a month on Boxing Day so anything perishable is no good. Can anyone help!

Most people like a food hamper especially if it's a surprise. Your original idea works in my opinion.

Thank you all. We went with this in the end. The food is mainly non-perishable or long life so should last until they’re back!
