We’ve been invited to a Christmas dinner & games afternoon this weekend at a new friend from my DS school, it’s lovely they’ve invited us and they’re providing all food etc just asked to bring drinks. I want to take a gift for the family/house but I’m really struggling with ideas. Any ideas would be super appreciated 🤞🏼 thanks

A bottle for the parents and some chocs for the kids. Maybe a festive game too.

Thanks I had thought about this but I’ve no idea what they drink yet!

Christmas poinsettia? And some fizz. A game for the kids?

A plant, a bottle of wine, a bunch of flowers or a box of shortbread/biscuits would be my go to

One very nice cheese; beautifully wrapped, with some decent crackers.

If you take flowers, make sure to get them in those wrappers where the florist puts water in the cellophane bubble, like a temporary vase. I think it’s called an Aqua Pack, so the hostess doesn’t have to find a vase immediately
