My DD has said she would like to listen to stories and music on her own player.

im after suggestions and if the Yoto player is a good choice ? If you have one of a child this age - what audio cards were good?
I think the Toniebox looks like it’s for younger children….

help!

My dd is slightly younger but has a Yoto and yes, there are lots of cards for 7+. I bought it in preference of the Tony for that reason.

If it’s not reduced anywhere you can get £5 with my referral code (https://refer.yotoplay.com/dbu13mr!85377733e3!a?locale=en) but I’m sure you could find a better deal just now.

My 9 year old has had a Yoto since age 5. He still loves it and he is generally quite a mature boy. He has a range of cards from Sam Copeland books to Enid Blyton Stories to Captain Hook Pirate stories and then footballer ones like Messi and Ronaldo. It is harder finder ones suitable as he gets older but I’ve flung him Horrible Histories The Middle Ages and World War 2 on Vinted.
I would say age 7 you’ve got lots of time to enjoy it still

Definitely Yoto, got one for our daughter age 6, still going strong 6yrs later- she was listening all day yesterday to an old favourite!

** found not flung!

This is great with regards to the Yoto!
What’s the difference between the models such as the mini and the others?
Can you also listen to music , radio or anything else?

Yes the yoto is fab! My 6 year old has had a big one since two and got a mini for her birthday this year.
she loves the podcasts at bedtime, particularly koala moon and sleep tight relax. She's got a few favourite cards but the ones she reaches for the most are Peter Pan, sleeping beauty, first fairy tales and the rainbow fairy collection.

My 7 year old is obsessed with the yoto still. I would try a few types of cards and see what she gravitates to. Perhaps one horrible histories, anne of green gables or a little princess, a podcast card with news or stories and a music card. Then in the future you can follow her lead. There’s also a big second hand marketing. Plus you can use a make your own card to put content from the public library on.
If she would like the Kpop demon hunters card, order it asap, it has been selling out.
