Present ideas for a 10/11 year old girl?

I would like to buy a token present for a girl in year 6, around £20-ish. She’s my DDs (5) playground “buddy” - all the Reception children have an assigned buddy who comes to their class twice a week to read and play with them, and also to watch out for them in the playground. She seems like a lovely girl and has been so kind to DD especially when she was crying at the school gates the first few weeks.

I have no idea what to buy for this age though! I was thinking of maybe nice stationery or is that really dull? We are in a fairly large city so have access to most well known shops, if there is somewhere popular that I could buy a voucher for? Or £20 cash in a card?

I think I'd cut the budget. £10 book and sweets or something.
You don't want her mum to feel she needs to gift similar in return.

My DD is in year 6 and also a year R buddy. I would agree £5-10 is more than enough. My DD would love nice stationery, notebook, book, sweets, cute keyring (palm pals popular here). My oldest DD (now yr8) got a water bottle from her buddy at Xmas when she was in year R - nothing special, just a bog standard pink one from the supermarket, but my DD loved it and still has it!
