We had birthdays not long ago and so am out of ideas. Eldest wants Harry Potter Lego, another squish mallow and some books. I’m thinking maybe a watch as she’s struggling learning to tell the time. But I’m all out of inspiration for smaller things/stocking fillers that aren’t crap and suggestions for GPs.

Youngest hasn’t made any particular requests.
What has been a huge hit for your kids? Any random ideas ?

I don't have children, but when my god-daughters were that age, they liked Galt craft/science kits for rainy days:

Hits were the bath bomb making kits and lip gloss making kit.

They also liked Top Model sticker books.

My 8 year olds has asked for roller skates, a sketch pad and a Pets Alive rabbit.

She also loves any of those “surprise” balls with random overpriced rubbish in, and squishmallows.

we’ve also got her a new scooter and helmet, some nice felt tips, a few books, some clothes, Connect4, and a ticket to see Mary Poppins.

Pretty basic stuff for the stocking - a few edible bits, lip balm, keyrings, mini fluffy notebook, mini torch, gloves. Normally stick a toothbrush in there as well.

Squish alongs are on the list this year, they also do Harry Potter sets.
Pets alive
Mama surprise pets
Art set
Barbies - dd (7) is very into these at the moment.
Previously the Dr Squish squishy maker went down very well as did the hatchimal surprise, I think this year it is a kittyfly or something.
Polly Pocket
Craft sets
Sylvanians
Stationery
Books - mine is loving the Jaqueline Wilson ones.
Marbles, keyrings, stickers, bath bombs etc for the stocking.

For my 6 year old some bits I’ve got her are; Sticki rolls (seem to be really popular as she keeps asking), squishmallows, snackables, Christmas pjs socks etc, Sylvanian families bits, mamacorn hatchimals thing x

Argos have good stuff atm for girls, for the 5 year old the play doh Barbie’s look really cute, does she like dress up stuff or baby dolls? Or Polly pockets are always a hit

If it’s a micro scooter you got they have loads of accessories on the website

Oo my dd has mentioned the bloomables kitty thing. If yours is into Barbie’s as mentioned above the play doh ones look really good 😂 I think I enjoy some of these toys as much as children sometimes takes me back to being young haha

For 5 year old:

Mine has asked for a gymnastics bar it does fold down for storage.

6+ games like Operation / junior Scrabble they can grow in to.

Trip to an event, I have booked a kpop Demon hunters afternoon tea event.

Leap frog have introduced a new product for 4-7 year olds that connects to TV, can't remember the name of it though.

Smaller things - bath bombs, hair accessories, Christmas themed sweets.

Roller skates
Our Generation / DesignaFriends dolls, playsets
squishy maker
bracelet maker - my hairdresser was telling me her dd wanted one then I saw it on tv as a must have in this years toy list.
Wicked stuff - I’ve just got my dd the Wicked paint your own model set. What I really want to buy is the wicked themed Care Bears but I’d be buying just for me 😬
diamond art sets
paint by numbers sets

Definitely get the watch, I’ve just found out my 11yo can’t read the time, I could have sworn I taught her, she vaguely remembers me teaching her but has forgot because everything is digital. As you can imagine I was mortified, my 13yo pipes up and said most of her year group (year 9) can’t tell the time on an anolog watch 🤯 They now have new watches, I didn’t even wait till Christmas.
