Advent calendars feel a bit rubbish this year?

I'd like an advent calandar a step up from a dairy milk but nothing ultra fancy and the closest I can find is a biscoff Cadbury's which I absolutely don't want.

I'm sure last year there was lots of variety, am I not looking in the right place?

Lindt?

I was spoilt for choice in Sainsbury's on Friday. Have you tried there?

ShowOfHands · 16/11/2025 19:02

I've seen loads in supermarkets.

It’s our tradition to have a Cadbury’s one so that’s good for us. Most of the time the others are expensive and disappointing.

Galaxy?

I agree though I reckon the last few years haven't been very good variety wise. I got dd a Cadburys one, half price in Iceland, then I bit the bullet & spent my Nectar points on their beauty advent calendar. Last year's was really good but they put the price up by £20 to £80 though it's half price atm

I bought that for my Mum last year and she loved it.

(She's only had advent calendars for the last few years, as they weren't a thing when she was younger. I thought she might enjoy one and the first year just got her a basic one, but as it was popular I've since tried to get ones she will actually like and contain treats she wouldn't buy herself; this year I've got her a ridiculously expensive (!!) marzipan one from John Lewis which she is looking forward to.
It is this if it helps OP: Advent Calendar)

I have a fabric ones that I fill with everyone’s favourites each year so it doesn’t matter if we can find an advent calendar anymore
ie one can’t have dairy, one doesn’t like chocolate or sweets! One preferred dark and one changes her mind all the time lol
