Have you started Christmas shopping? Wrapping? Do you have the Christmas tree/decorations up yet? Christmas Day plans sorted? Seems some people are organised SO early others so last minute I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle. :)

Got some of the kids stocking fillers. Going shopping on Saturday to get a good chunk of it and waiting till closer to black friday, in case of better deals on a couple of things. Hope to have it all bought by 1st Dec.
Dec's go up some time first week in December.

LlamaNoDrama · 13/11/2025 09:37

I've started shopping and getting some foody bits in. No decs yet.

hididdlyho · 13/11/2025 09:53

Shopping is pretty much done now. Wrapping I delegate to DH, as I do most of the buying (otherwise people would end up with whatever he can find in the supermarket just before the shops close on Christmas Eve)!

Christmas decs don't go up until the first weekend of December at the earliest.

I'm assuming we'll be spending Christmas at home this year, as DH's brother is long overdue to spend the day with SIL's family. I've booked a supermarket slot for the Monday before Christmas so hoping I can get everything for Christmas dinner delivered.

Nearly done, have only a few presents left to purchase which I will do at the end of this month. Stockings are done, all advents calendars bought and Christmas Eve boxes done.

The decorations inside and out will go up end of November over the weekend as the 1st is a Monday.

No wrapping done as i like to do it in December with DH. We put a Christmas film on and have a takeaway. However more importantly I still have to purchase the wrapping I want this year which will be done tomorrow hopefully.

Christmas plans and most food sorted we’re having a big family gathering and my parents are hosting this year. I can’t wait.

Have you started Christmas shopping? Got my son's main big presents. Still got quite a bit to do otherwise.

Wrapping? Nooooo. That won't get done until Christmas week probably.

Do you have the Christmas tree/decorations up yet? No. Probably aim for weekend of 13th/14th December.

Christmas Day plans sorted? Going to Mum's. Not overly looking forward to it. She lives in a tiny cottage with three dogs and my brother will no doubt bring his chaos dog too. Will be dog central. More looking forward to going Cardiff on Boxing Day to be honest.

No no and no
I've not given 1 thought to Christmas as yet.

JulianClarysDog · 13/11/2025 21:59

I’ve got a few little bits and bobs but no main presents yet.
I’ve made my cake and a couple of get-ahead meals for the freezer for the time around Christmas so I don’t have to be spend more time in the kitchen than I need to.
Need to do:
More food prep for freezer eg mince pies
Cards
Main presents
Tree (real - so a messy job)
Wrapping

All shopping done…all wrapped …I. Spare bedroom waiting to go under tree on 1st december.
mind you I only buy for DP, DM, 3 DC, 1SIL and 3 GC ….and the dog! …..just meet up and have get togethers with rest of family ….not presents otherwise it gets out of hand ( I’ve 13 nephews and nieces and 18 great N and Ns as well as 5 siblings between us)

I've got DDs Dec 1st Box presents , still need to get some for DS ( I know Dec 1st Boxes promote an eye roll and Is this A THING ? but I don't do stockings and DD prefers a Dec 1st to an advent calendar )

DDs presents are wrapped , still need to get her shoes .

We're going away in December , short break.

No tree (cats are vandals)

Sainsbury order booked

Fruit soaking for the cake

Cinema and theatre booked and we do a Dec 1st Brunch

OrangesCinammonIvy · 13/11/2025 22:24

Yes !
Stocking chocolate is done.
Advent calenders organised .

Two parcels have arrived today with small gifts.

Mandarinaduck · 13/11/2025 22:42

No, too busy with current stuff.
I wouldn't mind getting Christmas shopping and food sorted early so that I could just relax and enjoy the run up to Christmas but I never manage to start anything until December. I put up some decorations at the start of Advent but tree goes up in mid-Dec and that's when I do my shopping too.
