8 year old boy help

Looking for help with ideas for my 8 year old ds. He has a birthday very close to Christmas and is struggling for ideas himself. He is football obsessed and we seem to have all the football things he could need.
He already has a switch, bike, scooter things like that. What are you buying boys of a similar age?
He is also into science kits but again feel like we’ve had all them.
I have seen someone previously recommend a set that was mini bricks and cement but can’t seem to find the name anymore. Any good science or puzzle type things that I’m maybe missing?

A new Switch game?

It will either be birthday or Xmas as he's another Dec baby. Other things we have are a magnetic fidgit pen, rubix cube, and a metal puzzle. What he would like is unlimited Roblox time/money!

Does he have a smart watch? I recently purchased one for my 9 year old. He’s very active, doesn’t have a specific interest in one sport, but attends different clubs. Just a wee idea☺️

subbeuteo game if he likes football, we got that for similar age ds last year, it was a hit!

There are loads of football books based on each of the players eg Messi Renaldo- also would you think about a foosball table? We got one for fifty quid and it’s earned it’s keep!!!

The mini bricks with cement is probably Teifoc
My DS is getting an electronic drum kit, RC monster truck and 3d pen.

I’m also struggling with 8 year old boy ideas. He asked for VR headset or PS5….! I was thinking perhaps a smartwatch, (not Apple) air pods, glorbs (sticky, bouncy balls I think), some kind of ball/toy from Wicked Uncle. Perhaps a super car day but he’s probably a bit too young for that really and he’d prefer something to actually open.

We're getting our 8 year old the FC26 game for the Switch. He also wants a Jurassic World Rebirth toy and lego set, Liverpool third kit and a world map for his bedroom wall.

We are also getting him a football annual, a couple of the Football Legends books, a funny noise machine from Wicked Uncle, a compass and probably a Liverpool lunch bag.

Sea monkeys or Aqua dragons?

DS1 suggested we get this for DGS aged nearly 8. Electronic dartboard which he has played with at a friend’s and is fascinated by it.
I’m a bit dubious about the safety angle but DS says it will be fine, fingers crossed.

This is what I have so far for my ds (age 10) I’m waiting on another book, a warmies teddy and a brainrot teddy. I also have a chocolate orange for him.

These are on my joint list. Think they are for me more than the kids!

I’ve got an Egyptian box from Wicked Uncle and a sort of jellyfish light thing. (Thinking of things that may last a few years & not get damaged by over enthusiastic assembly on Xmas Day.) Also a flip clock and kind of sudoku Rubik’s cube from there but those are for a 20 year old’s stocking !

Has he visited his favourite team ground as a tour. That could be worth looking into.
