Nice GF chocolates

I am trying to find a box of chocolates for MIL but they need to be gluten free.

They need to be a bit 'fancier' than roses and quality street.

Hotel chocolate gift boxes have wheat in the ingredient list of most of them so they are out.

Lindt are technically gluten free but a bit boring.

Can anyone recomend any, please?

I've bought from here for Christmas for me as they came highly recommended in a GF group:

These are also good but not as luxury:

Depending on how much you want to spend , I think the following are incredible quality, different / non standard, and they deliver:

  • Alain Ducasse
  • William Curley
  • Pierre Marcolini

I don't know if you can buy the truffles online (the website only sells the slabs), but the website says that all their confectionary is GF, and the chocolate truffles are the prettiest chocolates I have ever seen, and incredibly delicious!

Audrey’s chocolates are lovely , they are based in Hove but you can order . I’ve read good things about Catherine’s chocolates ( linked to above ) but they are vegan and one of my coeliac daughter’s pet hates is lumping gluten free and vegan together .

M and S truffles are nice and GF. They do a few different ones. Definitely fancier than quality street or roses but not outrageously expensive either.
You mentioned Lindt being GF but fairly sure it contains barley.

ICanSpellConfusionWithaK · 10/11/2025 12:10

Lindt contains barley - she can’t have those.

im GF and fucking hate truffles. I don’t want dusty chocolate. Honestly I’d rather have a tin of quality street.

nomo chocolate is delicious (also DF), they do a box similar size to quality street but more expensive 🤪

https://www.yumbles.com are great for restrictive diets

@ICanSpellConfusionWithaK Lindt apparently contains such low levels of barley they are still 'ok' for celiacs but I am not getting her Lindt anyway. Mil also doesn't like truffles. She thinks they are a boring, easy, option when it comes to chocolates. She has the same strong feelings about gf brownies.

The Chocolate by design ones that @Scampuss linked look like exactly what I am looking for!

Alaine ducasse is not GF
William Curley has no allergen info that I can see
Pierre Marcolini is full of gluten

https://woodrowchocolates.com/collections/all-chocolates/products/custom-box I buy these for my DH who is coeliac even those that sound like they have gluten ie gingerbread is all gluten free made with things like rice flour. Truly delicious flavours

Edited

They look lovely, I think I need those for Christmas too...

ETA: annoyingly they're a may contain for gluten so not for me.
