Nougat!

We've always had these delicious chocolate covered caramel and nougat mushrooms from the local Italian deli at Xmas. The shop has shut and DC are up in arms 😂How dare they retire and move back to Italy! What about us! 😂

Can anyone recommend some really delicious nougat so I can talk them down? Thanks so much

I like the nougat bars in Lidl. They do a chocolate one but I've only tried the exotic fruit flavour.

They are even more expensive on Selfridges, I really fancied some from your description but can’t believe the price.

I am getting them as an Xms eve treat and rationing - them out! It's an absolute shocker, must be a huge mark up as there is no was Franc was selling them at a loss!

Op aldi do big bars of nougat. Won't be up to your deli standards but might do?

Buy the nougat per the pp, then dip it in melted chocolate yourself?

Waitrose has several different types of nougat. It comes in 100g bars. I love nougat too and it is as good as any I've ever had. It's quite soft and chewy and not too brittle. Yum

i came on to say aldi , they are amazingly good , i had the amaretti one this week It was delicious .

I had to re-read your OP, because I thought 'Mushrooms covered in chocolate and nougat' 😕

I now realise they are nougat that is shaped into mushrooms! 😆
Are there are other Italian delis near you OP? Its not nougat, but has a very similar mouth feel and chew, also sweet with nuts and that is Italian Paneforte. Most supermarkets sell it nearer to Christmas.
