Has anyone bought one of those small hand help prints that prints out small photos? I’m thinking of getting my kid one as a Christmas gift and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. They were at university so I thought it would be quite fun.

First check how much it will cost in inks to run.

Check running costs, ie, inks and replacement rolls. They can massively bump up the price of what seems a cheap printer. with kids, they will want to print loads too!

This is the one I've just bought my 17yr old son.

That looks fab! Gonna get one for my son. There's a pack of 6 refill rolls on amazon for 9.99 x

I looked into these a while back. The problem is that the thermal printers print in black and white and the images will fade over time. Obviously it depends on what you want it for as to whether that will be a problem. Other tiny printers are expensive, but the real expense is the fancy paper they print on. I ended up deciding it was just too expensive.
