For the first year in ages we’ll be a group who all enjoy playing games after Christmas dinner. We won’t have to include any of the sore losers, non players, little people or rule breakers because they’re not invited going elsewhere!

We usually play different card games and one or two ‘fun’ board games that can be played quickly.

Can anyone suggest something new, exciting or different please! Or even remind me of old favourites I might have forgotten about!

Thank you! 😁

Consequences is usually what we end up playing on NYE after a lot to drink!

How to Play Consequences (Fold-Over Story Game)

Consequences is a hilarious writing game where players secretly add parts to a shared story, folding the paper after each turn so only a tiny clue is visible for the next player. At the end, you unfold the papers and read the complete — and often ridic...

Heads Up (app) game - bit like charades.

Quick Stop - fast thinking word game where you are given a scenario/situation and you have 5 letter cards to throw down with an answer starting with that letter

Monopoly Deal - cards

Cards against humanity

Don't be a dik dik (like old maid but with funny actual animal names).

What do you meme? game

Articulate is always fun - especially after a few drinks! Uno Extreme is great if you don't want to concentrate too much! I enjoy Trivial Pursuit, my son and husband love Ticket To Ride. I love music quizzes, but nobody ever wants to play with me because I've got a really weird memory for music (although that ends at around 1999!). If all else fails, Jenga is always a crowd pleaser (as is Frustration)! I love Christmas and I love playing games!

Herd Mentality!

Is this good with just four adult players? I keep seeing it recommended but wasn’t sure if better for big groups.

Yes, I was going to suggest ransom notes. You could maybe try playing in pairs if more than 6 of you.

Although it is even more fun with bigger groups we have played as a family of four and really enjoyed it!
