Stocking ideas

Mum coming for Xmas morning as I lost my dad in the summer and want to do her a stocking but need ideas for an 80 year old who likes gardening and exercise classes at the gym, so far I’ve got sweets!

Thank you it’s going to be a hard time but she agreed to stay Xmas eve even though we live close by so thought a stocking would be a bit of fun, thanks for all the great ideas x

I lost my Dad close to Christmas so know how hard that first Christmas is without them. I put together a collage of photos from Christmases with my Dad. Made us all cry but also helped us talk about the fun times we had together.

Gym wear / gym bag /nice hand cream / nice little towel for the gym/ voucher for her favourite garden centre and a voucher for afternoon tea and some fluffy warm socks/slippers.

Copper slug tape is something I would be thrilled with

Anything from Niwaki. A small Victorinox grafting knife. Nutscene twine in assorted colours. Carol Klein's autobiography. A waterproof crossbody phone pouch. Decent gloves (Niwaki again)

stuff like this goes in our stockings and I did one for my mum 2 years ago and it was very like this⬆️

light Compression fingerless gloves. I’m only in my 50s, but I love these when my hands are achy. Nice after using them a bunch, like with gardening.
